Here’s your chance to mingle with some Windows Phone big wigs, pepper us with questions, and try out our phones.
The occasion (as if you really need one) is Mobile World Congress 2012, the smartphone industry’s big annual gathering that kicks off in Barcelona at the end of the month. If you’re headed to the show, we’re handing out 50 passes to our party as a thank you to our biggest Windows Phone fans. (Sorry, we’re not offering plane tickets, hotel rooms, passes to the Sagrada Familia, or anything else—just a good time at our party.)
To enter, leave a comment below between today and Tuesday, February 21 telling us why you’re a fan of Windows Phone. On Wednesday, we’ll pick 50 winners at random to receive a pair of tickets to the event.
Good luck, and don’t forget to check back here next Wednesday to see if you’re a winner.
UPDATE 2.22:
And we have our winners! Big thanks to everyone who participated in the contest. If your randomly-chosen screen name is listed below, you and a lucky friend are on your way to securing a pair of tickets to the event. To claim your prize, email wpblog@live.com with your full name, preferred email address, and Windows Phone Blog screen name by 10 a.m. on Friday, February 24 and we’ll send you all the details. Make sure to put “MWC Party” in the subject line.
We’re looking forward to seeing the lucky winners next week in Barcelona!
I think you might want to tweak the title a bit.
I've been a fan of Windows Phone since it was announced at MWC2010 and stayed a fan ever since despite despite the fact it was difficult to be one were I live (fingers crossed for MWC expansion). I own 2 Windows Phones and love them both. I love watching faces of people change from skeptical or even dismissive to impressed when I show them my phone.
I'm coming to MWC and would love to hang out with you there!
Sent from my Windows Phone.
P.S.: I'm wearing my I <3 WP t-shirt in my avatar which I got at MIX10 for asking a question about Metro
it's just like open little parcels. do you that feling when you are waiting for the postman to arrive? you click and a new parcel is open. whith new things!
it's just like open little parcels. do you that felling when you are waiting for the postman to arrive? you click and a new parcel is open. with new things!
What's better for my Lumia than go to the party with their "parents"?
I've been a loyal supporter of Microsoft phones since the Windows Mobile 2002. I have purchased every version since. Gotten countless friends on the bandwagon, to buy Windows Mobile and now even Windows Phone. I have always been a Microsoft user, from Windows Home Server, to Windows Media Center, tablet PCs, Xbox and Kinect and one of the great things is how Microsoft products felxibility and integration. Being able to connect and chat through Live Messenger so easily and switch between that and text. Being able to access Xbox Live on my phone and even manage my Xbox and Avatar with the companion app. Or manage my home server with the My Home Server app. A beatuiful and functional interface doesn't hurt either. Going forward, it will be great to see the platform evolves as greater integration is added. Like synchronous multiplayer gaming, Skype, and integration with Windows 8 and tablets, which I'm definitely getting. You won't find a bigger Microsoft fan out there than me, and I would be honored to attend MWC.
I had to go to the Sprint store this morning, and they'd moved a couple doors down to a bigger location. This made me hopeful that maybe they'd give the Arrive a little spot to call its own.
Nope. It appears to be an online-only, or "secret menu" phone. Really irritating. I told the salesperson there how much I love it, how much my wife loves it, how much my friends love it - even my Android toting friends... He acted like I wasn't saying real words, basically ignored me, and went on to start the process of replacing my wife's defective Arrive. Hoping that the fact they clearly know nothing about it doesn't mean it will take longer to verify that it's broken...
I was planning to lose my Windows Phone virginity during the Mobile World Congress Fiesta.... please, help me!
For my business WP7.5 is the best system because of its build-in features. As I am a big Xbox fan, the companion app is pretty perfect and with kinect its pretty amazing. There will be so many new things possible in the future - I cant stand it... ;-) Hope to see you in Barcelona.
As one of the 1st developers to sign up for WP7 nearly 2 years ago, and developer of 'Manage Your Football Club' how can you have a party in Barcelona, the home of the best football club ion the world, how can you party without me?
Microsoft has its hand in a lot of services: music, video, games, productivity--the list goes on. If someone wanted to know what Microsoft's all about, the most effective (and pleasant!) way to show them is Windows Phone. Xbox! Office! Zune! Everything they do is in a sweet little package. There are more fundamental reasons why I love Windows Phone, of course. It's buttery smooth, it's efficient, and gorgeous. There aren't many phones that can caim all of that, now is there? Plus, the gargantuan Titan doesn't hurt, either :)
I'm going to MWC and I can't wait to see the new Nokia's phones with WP! I have to say, I'veen an iPhone and BB user for the last 6 years....but maybe is time for a change! :) I really like the way Microsoft is doing things with WP7.
It would be so great to come to your party! :)
I"m a great fan of Windows Phone..Owning one in the Netherlands since the first HTC models (an Orange branded SPV) and had a Windows Phone ever since (I think the first phone was launched in the Netherlands back in 2002). I still own the device....
I've been a fan of Windows Phone since MWC2011. It's interface is incredible (cute, good design, functional). I would like to go at MWC to begin to decide what model I'm going to buy :D
Wp7 is simple, smart, powerful, entertaining, flawless and is Ms office powered. it just rocks :)
I got a Windows Mobile phone years ago and decided that I love the OS. When I heard about the "New" Windows Phone, I only knew it would be an improvement. I love the fact that it syncs with Exchange super easy and with skydrive and MS Office (mobile) I can edit and create new documents for work.
The easy to use UI is a great refeshing difference than what the iOS and Android have. Overall, the WP7 (Mango) has been a very enjoyable experience when using the phone for everything from taking pictures to working on Word docuemts or Excel.
I wil lhave to admit that I haven't gotten into really messing with music or playlists yet, but I will ge there soon.
Just want to say that when everyone in my office thought I was crazy to get a Windows Phone (they are all Android users) I still have new things to show them on my phone and they are impressed... Unfortunaetly they will not change since they are hard core users who have rooted their phone and have networking tools (which I wish I had and if I did, that would make my phone complete) that get used on a regular basis.
Windows phone has become the core of my daily organisation with a quick glance of what to do, or a detailed view of what is planned in the future, to a glance of what my friends are doing on all the different social networks.
in one word... great!
WP7's definitely the OS to watch at this year's show.
I was an early adoper and loved my Omnia 7 before I had to give it back to work. Would be awesome to see what you've got in store for us for the coming year.
I've been championing Windows Phone since it was announced. Heck I even made a business around it and published 15 apps! I have been a fan from the beginning and would love to be in the party!
I am a fan of WP, no doubt about it......
When Somebody Tells You You Should Sell Windows Phones For A Living That Means You Are A Huge Fan of WP!
My love for WP began with Win-Mo... I don't really want to get into that to much because I have told my Win-Mo-WP transition story so many times it's sad. Basically, I was sad to leave Win-Mo because I didn't want to go to Android or iOS, so when I heard that WP was to be totally redesigned, I almost .... my pants!!! I decided to make a "small" list of why I'm a fan......
1. I love Windows Phone so much sometimes I still spell it out instead of saying "WP"
2. I highly recommend WP to others, and have at least 8 WP users under my belt so far. I literally work for MS! LOL..
3. I actually plan trips to retail stores to do "spy" jobs to gather feedback for this blog, and others.
4. I actually plan trips to stores so that I can train store staff on how to sell WP! No joke.
5. I actively give my feedback and opinions on blogs like this blog, and WPCentral.
6. I have been asking for a T shirt since the night out party,,, I was about to pull one of those promoters into a closet, take care of business, and walk out in his WP hoody and t shirt!,, I was thinking that maybe I could finally get one at MWC. HAHAHA!
And there it is. I hope that didn't sound to pathetic, but I put in work for WP. PERIOD! And I love it...
As a mobile market researcher I see first hand the types of people that buy different types of phones...as soon as my upgrade was due, there was no contest - I wanted to be one of you! Windows mobile...the intelligent choice
because i like squares more than circles
The first phone I purchased since 2009 was a Nokia Lumia 800. Its live tiles and Xbox integration combined with Office and Skydive makes it the greatest mobile device to date.
Switched so Windows Phone from Android and iOS because the experience is so much better. Yes Android has higher specs but the Windows Phone experience is so much more than specs.iOS is playing catchup on the design front. Who'd have thought it :-D
I like the way that applications and services are nicely integrated to the WP7 os, from an user or developer view it's a great and consistent experience develop and use WP7 (not like android)
I love Windows phone because metro ux is fantastic!
Indeed, I love c# which is the best language to develop in nowadays.
I walked into a room with friend that are talking cell phones and when they saw me, they said don't talk to SeNiLe about phones, he'll sell you on a Windows Phone. Everyone knows I live and breath Microsoft products... HAHA!
Been following the development of WP7 since the beginning. Bought a Samsung Focus day one. Sold friends, family and others on getting them self's a WP7.
I'll be picking up the Lumia 900 next month and will further spread the word about how great the WP7 is.
I'll see you in Barcelona?
I like Windows Phone because it's fresh and exciting but also because it's the best! I ditched my iPhone (had an iPhone for 3 years) on day 1 lauch in UK. I have had a HD7, Omnia 7 and am now the proud owner of a Focus S.
It's a microsft product that makes me smile :)
oh man wp7 is awesome! love how many promotions and contest you guys have!
Hi Guys,
I'd love to go to Barcelona and see all the Windows Phone goodness. I frequently create my own tweets to push the platform using all my serivces simultaneously by using my Windows Phone's Me Tile. I keep track of my Me tile which automiatically tells me what's up. Windows Phone is the most decorated Mobile Platform, and I am trying to constantly get the word out. My new app (which I won't mention here, because this isn't spam) is different than others of its kind, and works great with its pivoting plates of information only available on Windows Phone.
I love my old LG Quantum, I got one for my wife too when the phones were 2 for 1. She loves it and uses it often.
Windows Phone.
Windows Phone is just refreshingly different, more open than iDevices, and much more secure than Androld.
-Enjoy Windows Phone 7.5 and beyond

Leaving Muscat 3am, arr Barcelona 11.30am, return next day 12:30pm arr Muscat 2am. 25 hours of travel for 25 hours in Barcelona. And all because I want to be there for the WP7 and Windows 8 latest. WOA is going to be the best 'new new' revenue stream ever!
As a developer, I've spent a great deal of time with each major mobile platform, iOS, Android, BlackBerry and of course, Windows Phone.
I can safely say that there is no match out there for the speed and efficiency of a Windows Phone. Aesthetically pleasing and feature packed, buttery smooth animations and a great browser, I am a Windows Phone man for the foreseeable!
New windows phone is simplely awesome
Hi!
I live in Barcelona and I will come to the event as a member of the press (I work on a group of blogs about mobiles, one of them only for Windows Phone) and I will love to assist to your fiesta (what a wonderful spanish word XD). Is there an invitation for me? Pleeeaseee...
:)
Metro is the best UI of all smartphones, and it gives a feel to the phone that no other smartphone can match currently.
I really still am not a fan of Windows Mobile. The Mobile World Congress 2012 is a good place to start ...
I'm a fan because of the design of Windows Phone, its just amazing how elegant and thought-through the design is. I've even been able to convert a few apples to WMP... See you in Barcelona hopefully
Really excited about the Nokia and windows mashup, can't wait to see where it all goes especially with Skype and groupme... Things are looking interesting. Just wonder when manutd will go live on WP7
I love big, beautiful typography and slick, minimalist design. Windows Phone is the BEST!
Hi. Got my first windows phone about a year ago, a LG E900.
I love that it is so quick and simple to use. Great features, so much so that
no need to be wasting money on apps for simple things
Great job! What's the ETA on Tango-I update? Waiting for the remaining 120 languages support....
I need Windows Phone device with dual core processor and extendable memory! something like Samdung Focus Duo :D
What I love about the Windows' mobile operating system is the clean, clear Metro interface, which is so good. The Live Tiles are awesome. The battery saver option is a life saver. Social networks integration is neat. IE browsing is good but sometimes i miss flash support. Email, Calendar are good but the Office integration is a big differentiator from rest of mobile platforms.
I am a Windows Phone blogger in Japan, Nanapho.jp.
The first article of my blog posted in fall 2010. At that time, there were no Windows Phone in Japan. I purchased a T-Mobile USA branded HTC HD7, my first Windows Phone 7, from Amazon Wireless at $500. I also had to trip to Europe to see more Windows Phones. I actually went on a Windows Phone trip to UK, France and Germany.
It really surprised me that the first Mango phone in the world was IS12T. It's one of the most important event for my blog. Today I am a full-time Windows Phone blogger in Japan.
I own 8 Windows Phones including Focus, Omnia 7, HD7, Trophy, Optimus 7, Quantum, IS12T and Lumia 800. I want to purchase the next, Lumia 710 or 900.
I will go to Barcelona next friday. This is my first time MWC.
Windows Phone is great for it's speed, Metro UI and because Microsoft isn't as evil as Google or Apple :D
After Symbian, Blackberry, iOs and Android... it's my time for Windows Phone. May be MWC2012 it is the begginning of the a very long friendship.
as a developer i still cannot believe it was so easy to deuuvelop for wp7, 10 min and you are ready, amazing!
Really keen to see what is planned next with windows and mobile.... Coverage in faster smart phones as well as covering off emerging markets... Please keep the updates coming so we can develop for all these new channels
WP7+ all the way
Just love phones. Looking for the perfect one. Havn't found him yet, But I am puuurdy good at partying =)
Would love to attend the Windows Phone party at MWC. Will be a great opportunity to find people to add the People Hub!
Why am I a fan Windows phone? Simple, I'm not geeky enough to carry Android, and not vein enough to wear an iPhone!
I appreciate all the efforts the development team are putting into the phone. But you guys need to speed up the updates. So many good features are lacking on the phone. Also marketing is bad. Sprint won't even bring on anymore phones to their current line. We need a 4G phone from windows! We also need a lot of the features that are taking a long time to get to us. Where is the sd slot? Also I have seen exactly one commercial for a windows phone and even that no longer plays. When will you guys start pushing out more ads? How about making sprint and verizon adopt new windows phones. There is exactly 1 phone on both networks. I mean sure it's sprints fault as well but it would do you guys good to actually push it on to them to get some more phones. Anyway thanks.
Mobile Monday update and with accommodation and flights booked.... I am looking to Windows Phone to aid me complete the package with a MWC ticket.
My Mango phone is what we are currently using to develop our suite of mobile apps moving forwards in the mobile gaming apps and as a mobile consultant to Manchester United I am keen to learn more about newer OS
I'm a fan of Windows Phone because it's simply the best mobile operating system out there! With it's easy-to-use interface, clean & stylish design, combined with the ability to connect to your other Microsoft products such as Xbox and Windows Live - I would say it's a dream that has come true :-)
Yesterday, the last thing i saw before sleeping and the first thing I saw when i woke up is nothing other than my lumia with WP7.5, basically, i'm married to an OS. Can we get the chance to have a honeymoon in Barcelona?
As an app developer currently building Olympic apps I have SO MUCH to talk to you about. I have flights, hotel & plus 1. I really need tickets, I'll tell you why on Tuesday...
Windows Phones are reliable, don't crash, user friendly and are easy to sync with my computer. Having also had an iPhone and a Blackberry, Windows is my favourite.
Windows Phone is great platform to develop for. We look forward to see great things happen with WP. Expect great apps from DROIDERS.
Oh and I really want to win the ticket and see the show.
I really am in love with Metro UI. The tiles, the font... I think Microsoft did it again :) I'd be honored to attend the event on Barcelona (my hometown and current city)
Hurry up with the updates please. Why still no outlook syncing? Think about the business people not just consumers please.
I'm a fan of Windows Phone 7! I was at the UK launch and I'm out in Barcelona next week, so I'd love to be picked to come along!
Peter
I've been a fan of Windows Phone since I saw presentation for the first time in MWC 2010. I admire the smart WP7 campaign in MWC 2011, especially light in the hotel across the fira. I own a mango phone and I develop for it. I hope I can join you guys at WP party @ MWC 2012.
I'm a big fan since the beginning of Windows Phone, had a Windows Mobile since 6.1 and changed it as soon as possible to WP.
The UI and way of presenting information is simply the best seen ever. Just replaced my iPhone with a Nokia Lumia and i love it. The outlook client, the way of merging contacts and message thread is what i love the most.
I am just a fan of my Lumia 800 because it combines an excellent hardware/mechanical design, superb screen and great usability... so I would be glad to party with you!
I've been developing apps for mobile phones for many years for various different platforms, and Windows Phone has one of the best development environments. That makes it even more exciting to create stuff for Windows Phone, as consuming it is even more enjoyable thanks to the well-designed and fast UI! So, would be great to join the party at this year's MWC! :)
I love that the UI shows a lot of information without launching apps, and I also like the pivot/panorama controls, they are very easy to use (swipe) compared to other UI solutions that require clicks on specific places (tabs, buttons, etc) ;)
I love the Nokia Lumia 800, it's gorgeous blue rounded polycarbonate body: it's just amazing! And I love it's guts too : simple, clever and all integrated.
I have a windows 6.5 htchd2, and I love windows.
I like WP because It's something new in smart phone industry. It's also very easy to develop app for Windows Phone using Silverlight. It's one of the great Microsoft's product. I'll be very touched to involve to that event! Go Windows Phone gooo!!!!!
I want to go to MWC to witness the look on everyone's face when Windows 8 is revealed. Windows Phone 7 and Windows will be making a comeback! Lets party!
I have a windows phone since WP 7.0 came out. I picked the samsung SGH, which has a large screen and is very neat! The mango 7.5 surely boost up the windows phone to another level and I love it! Look forward to WP's bright future!!
I am a big fan as a user and as a developer.
As a user, I enjoy the speed, design, and the fact that I can truly get in, out, and back to life.
As a developer, it allows me to build apps using my favorite environment. C# and Visual Studio.
Well, I think that's better having a Windows Phone than an Android with a stupid wp7 launcher! That's the reason why I bought my WIndows Phone!
Well I think actions speak loader than words (or comments)... I live in a country that is not supporting Windows Phone 7 yet. I speak and write a language that is not supported by Windows Phone 7 yet (RTL)... I had an iPhone 3GS, sold it to buy an HD7.
After a few months I had to update the software and by mistake I unplugged the phone during the update and the phone crashed. I don't have a service support for my phone so what did I do? I went and bought an HTC Trophy... I just love Windows Phone 7 and if anything happens to my phone I'll buy another one again and again.
Note: I convinced all friends how Windows Phone 7 is a kicka** phone and they're all waiting for Nokia Lumias to be announced in my country
I've been a fan of Windows Phone since it was first announced.
I kept myself up to date with any information that was released about it.
When it was released in the UK in October 2010, I made sure to buy myself one as soon as possible.
I bought the HD7.
This was my first smartphone as I had been using basic phones before.
I was extremely happy with what I'd bought.
Everyone else was using iPhone or laggy Android and there I was with my unique and 'sexy' Windows Phone.
Since then I have bought myself a Nokia Lumia 800 and I just love the speed and reliability of it. I have never known a device to be this fast. I love everything about the Operating System itself, from the Xbox integration, to the live tiles to the Skydrive/Social Networking integration.
There are too many things to list about why I love Windows Phone, but I'm definitely not moving to any other mobile platform and as part of working in a mobile retail store, I will continue to push these phones out as much as possible!
I LOVE WINDOWS PHONE. <3
Big fan of email on Windows Phone! I also love showing my cyan Nokia Lumia 800 to friends. Hope I win and party it up with other Windows Phone fans
Its easy, Im not only Windows Phone fun , im Windows fun...
Windows...and our life is becoming interesting...
I am a big fan of windows phone 7 beacause I have been using windows mobile for past 5 years ! Never used any phone beyond that. Microsoft products are seamlessly simple innovative and feature rich. I am a windows phone 7 app developer myself and constantly promote each and every product of Microsoft . I am a Microsoft student partner of my college as well . Microsoft offers an extraordinary experience to every kind of user whether hes a amateur or a professional. All said and done products like these make my nation India emerge from a developing nation to a developed nation .
I like Windows Phone because it just works, and it always works. It's simple and fun to use and integrates nicely with a variety of services. It's incredibly simple without really sacrificing functionality. I hated Windows Mobile but I've been using Windows Phone for over a year and I'm very happy.
I love windows phone, especially user interface, e-mail and game. I own one windows phone and i love to get new deivce in near future and I have windows mobile too.
I am very happy to make windows phone apps , finally i am working for the platform which i love most.
I love Windows Phone because it's different. The minimal, clean and simplified Metro interface makes a pleasure operating system to use. I think that you can do the same things that you would be able to do with another OS, but plus living a new and incredible experience. I use Windows Phone everyday since its was launched and develop applications on my own, so I would be really glad to assist to the Windows Phone party at my town.
The first Windows Phone 7 party in the town I live, I love my Windows Phone and I have to be there
I I was an early adopter and loved my windows phone Lumia 800
i like it because it had a great interface, i"'m very happy
I have always loved the Windows Phone because of its amazing UI and seamless user experience. Unlike other Operating Systems, I have immense respect for WP because it completely stands out for its original metro design looks. Also, the way it integrates with social networks like Facebook, Linkedin etc and Windows SkyDrive is simply awesome.
I so envy the people at workplace who own a Windows Phone (which is a majority). Gotta get one soon!
Since May 2010 I'm a big fan of Windows Phone. At the time I attended a Coding Camp in Germany, where I first wrote apps for the phone. Since October 2010, I use my various Windows Phone devices that offer me everything I need for student life. In addition, I attend other events to be well informed about Windows Phone.
I'm a fan of Windows Phone because it's the only OS that comes out of the gates with Office and Xbox Live!
I have the windows trophy 7 excellent phone never had a problem with it updated fownoads effectively . This is a phone that I will never give up,best ever phone I've had.
Windows phone family - well almost - 2 Mozarts and one Lumia - just one to get - help me decide.
Bit cheeky - but I'll need a family ticket if you have any!
Oh mighty Microsoft, please pick me! :)
Sorry, it was an error to post a comment here... Because I went wrong with my calendar, so I didn't have time to got to Barcelona next week...
i am really excited about windows phone Future , and i hope from window think over supporting Arabic language and all right to lift languages Persian , Hebrew , etc ...
One of my best friends works promoting Window Phone, and I wish the best to both of them... Cheers!
I was present at the Dutch launch party and sold since. The best Smartphone OS out there. Love everything about and believe WP7 will be a mayor player in the market. A trip to Barcelona would seal the deal ;)
I am a Developer of Windows Phone Application and a frequent user of it
I like the Windows Phone page because I use to update with every atom info regarding it and about Development of Windows Phone
Windows Phone is the most stable smart phone I've ever used and I've had one of everything at this point. The live tiles are outstanding and no phone integrates better with Facebook, Twitter and Live services
I like Windows Phone since the first sight of the fabulous UI when it is released last year. It looks much cooler than Android and iOS, and finally I got myself a real one 3 weeks ago. It's a Samsung Omnia W. I have to say it is an amazing phone, not only for the UI but also for the user experience. And I'm looking forward to the Skype for Windows Phone very much. With Skype, Windows Phone will be perfect. I hope we can see that on MWC 2012!
because I love xbox live and halo waypoint
Why am I a fan of windows Phone? let me count the ways:
1) silky smooth w/o the need for 12 cores and a 4000maH battery
2) All-day usage on the stock battery, something my wife's droid can't even do being on standby
3) secure operation, don't have to worry about apps that glean my contacts, or collect my data w/o me knowing, or transmit stuff in the background w/o my permission
4) Office mobile, I get to take my documents on the go with me, and open those that are e-mailed
5) Live tiles - what I want, when I want, with one quick click.
6) The people hub - keeping me up to date w/ what my friends are doing, where they're hanging out, and what they've sent me
I can simply go on and on about how great wp7 is, but simply put - it get stuff done without me having to worry about being plugged in, double-checking my preferences, or getting lost trying to get there!
Now I have Lumia 800, one of the most stylish phones on the market. I used windows mobile OS from the version 5.0 and i think that the last version (7.5) is fantastic. The interface design is innovative and intuitive, social experience integration it´s very useful, Zune gives me the perfect multimedia experience and skdrive is a plus. I´m waiting that this OS improve the inteface tweak and it don´t have rival.
I just ordered a Lumia 800, my first non-iPhone mobile since 2007. I am all Mac, but I simply could not resist the 800.
I was inspire by my professor (a mobile developer from France) to join the mobile development term. I guest I will excel here. Please pick me emmmmm I beg gonna show you what I can do. Meet you in Barcelona :D. My laptop and handbag on with my programming tools. Hope there will be competition too :D
I was a huge fan of Zune, quite rare living in Spain, and i loved the metro interface in the Zune HD. When the 1st generations WP7 devices came out, i sold my Zune HD and my android phone and bought a LG Optimus 7, I'm a happy user of the most stylish S.O since then.
Two of my friends already bought a Lumia and they are extremely pleased.
PD: I live in Barcelona, i'm a perfect candidate for the tickets :)
Only OS in the universe....... That's Windows!
My world..? it's Windows..!!!
And I love it because it's Windows!!!
...............................
I love Windows Phone so much my e-mail address is WindowsPhone7@#########.com - also that it's not a copy of iOS or Android - it's the FUTURE
This will be legen.... wait for it
I'am actually an Android developer and for now just a huge fan of WP.
I would like to begin developing for WP7 too one of theese days.
This would be a good start
I don't like going mainstream for mobile, and since Windows still falls under 4% (en.wikipedia.org/.../Usage_share_of_operating_systems) of market quota, is my personal choice to be part of the counterculture!
Windows phones are now expanding the thoughts on what a customer needs and wants. Bing is the best app that I love on the windows phones. Makes life easier for searching for restaurant and bars for me. I also love that I can connect my Xbox live account to the phone. Can't wait to see what Microsoft comes up with for Xbox games on the phones.
Hi, I would like taste new flavours of mobile platforms, WP is windows
Windows Phone 7 is such an amazing overhaul compared to Windows Phone 6. I love the Metro UI! It looks so clean and slick. Along with Windows 8, they make the perfect duet!
P.S. It totally tops Apple's iOS.
I'm a Windows Phone fan because I've got nothing better.
I love WP because it is a new opportunity for developers
I really like the Metro Interface, and I love that there are People that the can make things diferents than iOs that works even better.
From my perspective, Windows Phone has the most convincing UI of all mobile platforms: Simple, but beautiful. I am sure that it will gain traction especially among younger users, so-called digital natives. They do not need naturalistic designs that copy the analogue world, they want relevant information at a glance.
Brand new UI, powerful development opportunity using Microsoft's knowledge and background
I am a fan of Windows Phone who had been waiting a very long time ignoring Apple or Google before Windows Phone was released. I enjoy it very much and I like to party!
I love my Windows Phone! One of the best creation of the human race! Kudos Microsoft for this. Hoping for a "Multicore, lotsa-RAM, lotsa-memory, supreme camera, ultimate display, external memory capable, all-in" Windows Phone. Just day dreaming guys. Seriously, the "floating" feel of Nokia Lumia 800 is so cool!
... dary! Legendary!
Windows Phone? At first I was like... meh touch screen... then suddently the glory of no-freeze reaction, the greatest temptation to torture the metro-ui up and down and up and down, then the abillity to create hotspots, the html5 browser...
And You know whats best about Windows Phone? That it is still nothing comparing it to Windows Phone 8, polished great system, every phone updated no fragment(droid)tation, and first of all a fruit of joy! No not apple, just... MANGO.
I LOVE MANGO
90% of my mobile needs complete with my awesome Windows Phone 7 without APPs. Now imagine with APPs!
Windows Phone is a new phone platform. It provided a lot of new opportunities and experience. I'd like to be in it!!
Like WP7 because it brings a very new user experience and interface, bravely going for something really new and "fresh" :)
And I will be @ MWC and so I would love to party with you! ;)
I will want to eat a Mango smoothie while I see the Sagrada Familia by the Windows of the MWC in Barcelona.
I currently develop for Android & iPhone, but I'm very interested in developing for Windows Phone, because is growing up fastly!
I love Windows Phone because it's beautiful and powerful. The interface is amazing, in particular the live tiles! I van write what I want when I want with Office and it's easy to share anything with the social networks. And it's all well-organised!!! Best Mobile OS ever.
I have a lumia 800 and it is an awesome device. I especially like the New Approach for the gui. Good Job!
The interactive live tiles and fluid Metro UI drives me crazy!!
I am a big fan of Windows Phone, i have one and its cool. Also i am co-Founder of a startup and we are finishing up our Windows Phone social calendar app for MWC). Phone is great for apps.
This year will be the triumph of windows phone? I watch!
Windows Phone is the best answer to the still dominating iPhones and Androids.
2012 will be the year when Windows Phone 7+ and Windows 8 change the world to a new direction.
because windows phone something new with a unique menu that will open up a window every person in the world of telecommunications
A Windows Phone fan? That's not saying half the story :) Windows Phone ROCKS:)
Some tell me their phone is better, but I have no reason to look elsewhere. Just loving my WP.
I live in Barcelona and would love to see the party from the inside.
Windows Phone, the most amazing interactive social experience for a mobile phone, oh yes I'm a Windows Phone's fan!
I love wp look&feel. I hope this will be your year
It just looks and feels right. This could be the start of a beautiful friendship.
I am a fan of windows phone because I like innovative technology that seems to never grow old. Thanks guys! :D
I have used and tested almost all devices and OS's. Being part of a major global carrier I had the opportunity to play with Android, IOS and Windows. Now out of a corporate environment and in the small business side, the lack of tools were killing me. With windows phone, I can now access my 365 account, sharepoint, lync and it fully integrates which other devices dont. No comparison, WP is above the rest and will be for professionals and the enterprise user.
I use my phone to tease my iphone and andriod using friends! hehe! It's managed to turn an everything-apple friend to the coolness of the windows phone! When it comes down to it, what's cool? what everyone is doing? nahhhh! It's what gets a "wow what is that?" reaction!
I'm a Windows Phone Fan because of the innovative, outstanding UI design, speed and intuitiveness.
I love the social centered strategy, that keeps me up to date and in contact with all my personal and business contacts. Windows Phone will put Microsoft and Nokia back on the map in this mobile world. I predict a second or maybe first place by 2015.
I have bought my Windows Mobile HTC HD7 on the day of publication in Germany. I do not want to give her back. Of all my colleagues with their iPhones, I'm the one who has chosen the right system.
Because I love Windows Phone so I've now also begun to develop software for it.
I would be extremely happy to be invited to the MWC 2012 from Microsoft.
Keep up with your good work
I can still recall the time my manager send me to Paris for the first presentation of WP7 to operators and vendors, somewhere in the beginning of 2010. I told my manager that I was really curious what Microsoft had made up, because I was always bashing about Windows Mobile.
When I came back from Paris I changed my opinion 180 degrees. Since that time I'm a big enthusiastic. Before the time the WP7 device came on the market, it was quite difficult to convince even colleagues. Nowadays I feel even more convinced about WP7 and I see that Microsoft did something that never were able to do before. Not on any other platform, not even with Window 7.
I like Android, no question about that. Lately I also had iOS, which is also quite good, but that's it. No, with my WP7 device I really feel like Microsoft took a look at Android aswel as iOS and thought "We can do that better". They eliminated the disadvantages of both world, combined the benefits and made that totally WP, without copying the others.
Only 10 months after the launch Mango arrived and made the OS a complete grown-up OS. And due to the added languages, I even dared to buy a WP7 device for my father.
I'm even that confident that Microsoft will have succes with WP7 and their successors that I made a bet that WP7 (or its successors) will have a bigger market share than iOS. That's quite a statement, isn't it?
I'll be in Barcelona, so it would like to be at the party and see what's microsoft upto these days...
I'd love to attend MWC because I can't wait to see how the brilliant work done on developing a truely unique experience on Windows Phone translates to Windows 8. I'm currently on an LG Optimus 7 (AWESOME 1st gen phone, btw) and I'm soon to get a Lumia 800.
I've got my brother, my mother, my father and soon my girlfriend on Windows Phone, so I guess I deserve my share of the celebration ;)
Currently working at Rakuten Group HQ in Japan, accelerating Smartphone/Mobile initiatives, and excited to implement Windows Phone OS!
At JamPot we LOVE Windows Phone so much that we added it to our multi-platform app builder product - TheAppBuilder (www.theappbuilder.com). We did this because we believe 2012 will be the year of the Windows Phone, making massive gains in the market, and we want to make sure when our customers take only 30mins to build an app, they get a Windows Phone app in addition to iOS and Android. We've published a huge number of apps to the Windows Phone Marketplace in the past two months - since we launched TheAppBuilder. Microsoft is doing great things with Windows Phone, we couldn't be more impressed and look forward to more exciting developments in the near future.
Simply the things are where they have to be on it! WP Rules!
I like windows phone because it has many useful apps.
I love the square and the smoothness of the movements of the screens.
I'm a huge fan of the interface : it's simple and innovative. Everything is available at a glance with a slick design... love it !
I really hope I'll be lucky enough to get to see the show
Exactly when is the after party because my wife and I are considering to possibly take Friday off work to fly to Barcelona for the weekend just for the party but of course see Barcelona too. I already made the switch and advised my work place to buy windows phones for showing customers at our libraries the Windows ecosystem. Of course Windows is invited to our humble event next march 8th at Espoo, Finland where we talk about our new services, courses and latest equipment one of them being the Lumia.
Windows Phone platform is impressive and intuitive for users. I may be one of the first US owners of a Nokia Lumia 800, had to buy it with Euros.
Well I Started Developing WP7 applications Since August 2011 and from that time i started loving the windows phone because it feel much different than any other device.
I <3 Windows Phone
I love windows phone
I'm from Barcelona, so I don't need any kind of transportation and I can show you all these beautiful places Barcelona has to offer. :-)
I can also show you great pictures and videos taken with my Windows Phone, even during the party, hehehe! :-P
I've worked for private companies marketing Microsoft products for years, first it was Vista, WP6.5, then Office, then the Live Suite, but nothing moved the community like the introduction of WP7. In fact, nothing made me love my job more than advocating a product I couldn't myself put down.
However it was also the most taxing, you see, training documents were thin on the ground with the release of the windows phone, as were demo phones in the local office. So, I chalked up the money, lined up, bought a WP7 at release, and spent many a sleepless night working out the nuances. It was then my job to set out and teach over a hundred sales reps what to love about the phone, and what it's best features were...Naturally, phone reps knew exactly what to ask people like me, and many times I was caught out like a fish out of water. But instead of shunning the difficult questions off, I gave them my email, took their number and would go home and dissect the phone until it had revealed it's secrets. Then, usually then next day, I would call back the befuzzled reps and tell them EXACTLY what they needed to know about the phone. Now I guess this is where the "I'm a biggest fan" part comes into the equation, because never once did I think I was actually working, there were nights I'd be up until 4am and back on the road at 7, but it was never under duress. It was honestly because I loved using the phone!
15 months later, my promotional company has been disbanded, and I am back studying, however, I STILL get company representatives sending me emails about certain questions about WP7 (especially when Mango came out!), and although my Windows phone broke long ago while trying to find an inaccessible SD card slot. So, I will be on the tolled support line, calling, and asking the questions I can't answer from reading support documents; and replying to their emails. And I'm not getting paid, in fact my phone bill was almost triple a couple of months ago. And when I ask myself the question, "Why am I still doing it?", it's because I cannot bear to see a product like WP7 go astray, I cringe at the thought of another smartphone being recommended because they "didn't know" WP7 could do all these amazing things. Am I the biggest fan? Probably, but not directly, (I consider my relationship with the phone spousal, with its' ups and downs). I'm its biggest fan for the twinkle I get in my eye when I see the newest version in stores, because I know any any one moment, it's making somebody's life that little better, that little easier, or that little smoother.
And isn't that the only thing technology should ever do?
The only phones i've owned have been windows phones, the experience coming to this event would be priceless.Even if i dont win i still will continue to purchase windows phones.
Because even though Sprint employees openly bash it in their corporate stores, I bought one on a hunch and it's the best OS I've used to date.
I have an iPhone and an Android device in my pocket, and that's where they usually stay, as my HTC Radar is in my hand!
I love Windows Phone because its not trying to copy iOS or Android or something else but is honestly fresh and new and amazingly fast. Cant wait to get new features. ;) And I'd love to meet some of you guys in BCN ! (for sure I already have a flight and hotel room :D)
I had the chance to try a Windows Phone with Mango and I really liked it ! It's really cute and different :) I'd love to attend your party ! Thanks :D
I'm sick of so many Android and iPhone!! I'm looking forward to use for the first time my new Lumia 900!
I'm a fan of Windows Phone because it just perfectly represents my need to express individuality in itself...
Hooked on my Lumia 800, great user experience, fantastic performance. On the wish list: More essential apps available, launch the 'Smoked by WP' campaign in Europe so people can perceive outstanding user interface and how easy are daily tasks. Wish Tango update is closer than expected with tons of new features!!
I gave up my Macbook pro for an HP computer, plan to upgrade to Windows 8 and now want to switch out my iPhone for a Nokia Lumia, and also convince my company to develop app solutions for Windows. This party will definitely help me take the journey OI began with my laptop and extend it into the mobile world.
I love windows phone because it fuses design, functionality and speed. The ultimate communications device with Xbox Live and Office built in, its FTW.
I've been with you guys since the HTC Diamond and now I have the HTC 7 Surround. I'm a sales associate for a mobile corp in Canada. Every time I work I put the image of the Nokia Lumia 800 that coming soon on the computers we have for clients and I used to convince my boss and some of my collegue to go with Windows Phone. I Went to the launch of Nokia Lumia 800 recently. I was a PS3 fan, but since I have my Windows phone 7 i'm changing all my setup for a unification of Windows when the 8 come out.
Me and my wife have the same phone and we share our calendar together and it is really nice to work with that !!
Windows phone is an awesome OS !
Thank you all !
I'm a WP fan because I love the look, the simplicity and the speed of this OS. It's very good, but I'm sure it will be even better.
I was delighted when I heard about your alliance with (my) Nokia!
Greetings from Barcelona! ;D
when my LUMIA have SKYPE in one morning then i'm gonna go to Barcelona
I love it becouse it is so amazing and smart!! I am from Madrid! please choose me!!
I'm a WP fan because of the design. Plain as that.
well i never experience about windows phone.. but this time i am thinking about it to have a cell phone with windows phone.. and i mean it....
I love my windows phone because it syncs perfectly with my Microsoft sync system in my car. I don't even listen to radio in my car I just turn on my car and my Zune player on my phone play automatically where I last left it on my car stereo. I also love the way that I can group my co-workers together so that I can text or email them all at the same time. It also keeps my history with them all in one spot. I don't have to search individually through email and messaging apps.
I moved from SAMSUNG FOCUS TO SAMSUNG FOCUS FLASH TO HTC TITAN .....Now getting ready to use nokia lumia 900...hoping to upgrade this summer...windowsphone you rock !!!!
Cleanest easiest and best phone on the market. Period. Dumped my Android for my HD7 and never looked back.
remember.. qtek s200 coming from htc. It was my first touch screen phone. I was at highschool. I learned "what is the application?, What is the windows mobile? what is the smartphone" with this phone. Then always i followed the windows phones! Htc diamond, then htc dimand 2. And now, i am using htc hd7.. Because i like metro interface! I like stable operating systems. I like microsoft and of course i like big application market!
Marketplace be bigger and bigger. I want to use to you, more than more! You are next for mobile genertion!
mango, tango, apollo, come more please come!
I am a big fans of Windows Phone (and also Windows Mobile).
Once I get the look of Windows Phone 7 on MWC2010, I am very excited with it.
I bought the 1st gen of Windows Phone for my girlfriend when it released. ( A LG E900, I was still using Omnia II that time)
It is beautiful and fast.
When I saw Joe Belfiore introduce the Mango, I got excited too, and I think Windows Phone can really complete with Anrdroid and iOS.
I want to know the detail of Tango at MWC 2012, also I want to express my feeling on Windows Phone 7 as Asian User.
Hope I have a chance to go to MWC 2012.
I'm a windows fan becuase I it just has to work! Windows phone does everything right from the apps on down to the Metro UI. I could not live without it, so when my friends ask if they should get one i say. I'm I windows phone so jump in lol. like the others me and my girlfriend will be rocking our I Love Windows Phone shirts we got from the Party in Chicago if we make it to Spain = )
Hi, first I'm a big fan because I'm a .NET developer! :)
I've been to Barcelona before...not impressed to go back. However, Windows Phone DOES impress me, and has from day ONE. After having come up through the PocketPC (iPaq 3630) and Windows Mobile (Axim X3i) ranks I was SO ready for a meme change. A sea of icons and the desperate and frustrating world of customization just to get to something as functional as I believed the mobile experience SHOULD be just had reached its end with me. The moment I got the glimpse of the Metro UI and began to grasp just what Windows Phone 7 was bringing to the genre, well, I knew I'd found what I was looking for. I can't express how ecstatic I am at being able to make technology my slave instead of BECOMING the slave to it as you are with Android or even iOS. My information, the way I USE it, coming TO me without being forced to open page after page of apps get that information. That's worth its weight in gold, my friends. It's there. It's all there, smart and easy. Windows Phone is the way access to my life should be...always.
A Dev, patiently waiting for a decent Win Phone 7.5 on Verizon.
Responsiveness, Metro UI, Live Tiles, Office & XBOX Integration, Developer Tools!
I havent gotten a chance to get my hands on a Windows Phone just yet, and i am waiting for the Nokia Lumia 900!! Windows Phone is the first OS that is trying to do things differently, and i love the fact that the OS is meant to make interacting with the phone easy and fast so that you can get back to real life faster! i think this would be a great opportunity to get my hands on a windows phone and learn more about the OS
fortune ticket, eagerly waiting to get one
I am a fan of Windows Phone because of the fresh redesign, the innovative and intuitive OS simplicity and feel. It represents the future of mobile device UI. I am so in love with the platform, I first got one for my wife when her contract was due and she loves it, but she only gets to use it about half the time because I'm always on it just enjoying it's simplicity and growing features.
I'm in sales for a living with no coding background, but I love Windows Phone so much, that I've downloaded the developer tools and I'm doing my best to try and learn the platform so I can try to make a simple, practical application for something I don't find or have heard about yet on any other platforms. I love the way the Metro design is being implimented across all the platforms. I bought an Xbox solely for the purpose of being able to use all the awesome new features and interconnectability of the mobile platform with everything.
I am an ambassador for the Windows Phone platform and I am absolutely dying to upgrade to one of the new Nokia's if they ever get to my market. I post about Windows Phone on my facebook and twitter all the time and I actively try to convince and convert all my friends on Iphones, Blackberries and Android.. and I don't even have a phone of my own.
I've been a fan of Windows phone, since using it make me really exisitng.. I came a long way with Android.. But many existing features made me to go for Windows Phone..
My phone will smoke your phone @ MWC (unless it's another Windows phone).
It's about time! All our clients are talking about WP - now is the time to show and tell. Looking forward to it.
I've been a super loyal supporter of Microsoft's technologies and solutions. I've develop my first app on Windows 3.1 with Visual Basic 1.0. I also have purchased a lots of mobile PDAs and smart phones which was operated with Microsoft's OS since 2001 from now. My HTC HD7 which running Mango is the best smart phone than ever. I am going to develop some awesome apps of healthcare domain and publish them to marketplace, also will port these apps to Windows 8 in the future.
Going forward, it will be great to see the platform evolves as greater integration is added. Like synchronous multiplayer gaming, Skype, and integration with Kinect, Windows 8 and tablets, which I'm definitely getting. You won't find a bigger Microsoft fan out there than me, and I would be honored to attend MWC.
Windows Phone - its just great to use.
This is a simple post for me. I was a Crackberry addict (blackberry nut) Not long after it launched. Brilliant for business and I loved it in every way and wouldn't be told otherwise. This was untill 2010 when I was nerding over youtube and saw the new windows OS and was intrigued. The day the HTC mozart was launched I left the blackberry Island behind and set sail for brighter prospects. I have never looked back. I am now on my second generation of windows with the Titan and cant wait for my next one.
I was a crackberry addict and now I'm a window licker :)
Most of all from a business point of view this OS makes my day easier. Best way to describe it for me is that Windows phone is a tool and not a toy (like some other fruit and robot based OS's).
Thanks guys :)
I'm a fan of Windows Phone since last year. I sold my iPhone and bought Lumia :) Your Metro interface is really beautiful
Windows Phone UX is easy to use and fantastic.
WP7 is simple amazing, I'd like to be there with you!!!
I never had a smartphone. As a Windows programmer, I've been wating for the best! Windows Phone will my first.
Windows Phone the good news for all of us who does not like Android or IOS. Now we can use Windows on the phone too! I'm anxious for WP 8. It will make WP even better.
I like the Metro interface. The Panorama Items is the best !!!
The music player and podcast catching work without the hassle. Wish the player could play at double speed though. (;
Since it's a random draw I'm glad that I don't have to be too creative. Basically, my favorite feature of Windows Phone is the Microsoft Office integration and as a mobile presenter I am excited about the direction of PowerPoint on Windows Phone.
Ever since Windows Phone was announced I knew this OS was going to kick some serious bud. It's only been two years but a lot has changed since then. I'm looking forward to the future, with the synergy between Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8. Hope to see you guys in Barcelona!
I've been a fan of Windows Phones ever since I saw a friend of mine come to class with one in 2004. I was determined to get the same phone, so I saved up for months on end just to get it. Since then I've had a couple of Windows Phones and was never disappointed. I started following up on Windows Phones more closely after I saw Steve Ballmer at the last Mobile World Congress speak about WP7.5. I love the direction Microsoft is taking with the OS, going as far as partnering up with one of the biggest phone producers to create the Nokia Lumia 800 and more... When I received my Lumia 800 it became my primary device and I haven't looked back since.
Social Media has become as easy as pie with the People app, and the personalized home screen is something I could not do without.
I would love to get a chance to talk to some of the people responsible for making WP7, maybe get some WP8 questions in there, and generally having a good time.
Hope to see you guys there!
Bram
I've been using my HD7 for a year now and I'm very pleased with it. Since the moment I have it, I've been using it for pretty much anything: games, music but also serious stuff: office, appointmens, e-mail.. One of the coolest features is the People hub: everything you want to know about anyone, from every important social network, all in one place.
Though before Mango, a few important features were missing, it was already a revolutionary platform and I've been able to show the capabilities to other people and make them understand why Microsoft deserves its place on the mobile market!
I held off on getting a true smartphone until the Windows phones arrived in late 2010. I was still using my BlackBerry Pearl Flip until that time, but the week the new Windows phones released my wife and I made the switch. I have been preaching the gospel since that time. Conversions: one coworker who loved his iPhone, my younger brother, my mother, and I will gladly show it off to anyone who asks. It integrates seamlessly with my Windows-centric lifestyle and I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new Windows tablet OS so I can get my first tablet device. Windows phone rules!
I love my Samsung Focus. I regularly beat iPhones and Android phones on searches in speed and accuracy. Can't wait for Windows 8 tablet.
It's goooood to have windows phone back on track. I will install on my old Nokia 6210 :) - by the way, we will soon launch a new app for Windows Phone called CirCal... check it out
Pretty please with windows mobile on top.... I am so ready to come fiesta with you all... sorry guys, only 49 passes left :)
Had a Phone 7 - was very happy with it - than the company closed - I was unhappy - because they took away my WP7 - than a new company and I got an Iphone - and I am sooo unhappy with that !!! So my only wish is: a New WP7 :-) And as santa does not exist I will buy one on friday - just can't wait!!! An than the Iphone will see the floor of my rubbish bin - ok ok - I'll give it back to my comany :-) no middle-ground anymore
Actually not a Windows phone current user or developer. Being mobile developer on another platform, I would like to get a closer look on Windows Phone.
I'm such a fan of Windows Phone, I co-founded a company to help make it easier to build awesome metro apps. That's commitment! :) But really - I have three Windows Phones, I got my mother on to a Windows Phone, and have built apps that are ONLY on Windows Phone. Just doing my bit to try and help the mobile phone purchasing community who typically can't see the forest for the trees...
Telecom Austria in Bulgaria (Mtel) have threatened me with cutting off my fingers if I do not participate in their cartel in the telecommunication industry in Bulgaria. It have been done through involuntary implanted small device similar to hearing apparatus in my sinuses, connected to nerves, controlled wireless with their network. Many politicians and Government servants in Bulgaria are controlled in a similar manner.
Detsche Telecom was fined 100 mill. for bribing the regulator in a Balkan contry, where the other player is Telekom Austria.
You said that's good.Thank you
Any idea when we can receive the details?
Hi Microsoft guys and girls, I am just following up on the 5 emails to you that I have sent since Thursday.... Could you advise me when the MWC code will arrive.
Thanks
