Windows Phone Radio 46 is ready! This week we cover a cool new sweepstakes from the Microsoft Facebook page, and a fun giveaway of our own. Friend of Windows Phone radio Johan Van Mierlo of ProClip USA has graciously offered to give away one of his ProClip auto solutions for each of the Windows Phone models [except LG devices]. Simply send a Tweet with a photo that illustrates why you need a ProClip, and copy @johanvanmierlo or @proclipusa and @WindowsPhone. For more on ProClip go to www.proclipusa.com. Windows Phone Radio is available in the Zune Marketplace, iTunes and streaming direct here.
Have a great weekend.

Hey guys,
Just finished listening to ep. 46 - some feedback for ya'll
<big box of awesome is US only>
<artist backgrounds may be US or Zune Pass countries only>
<full Bing features may be US ony>
<I love my Focus - but it was never released in AUS Doh! Hoep the Focus S is>
Definately, now that Mango is out, we need some roadmap update on MS's committment and plans for regional equality/feature release to non-US markets. There was supposed to be an MS announcment re: Zune services by the end of Summer US time (that date was provided on the WP Blog by a MS Manager). Any news?
As mentioned before, it would be good if the Blog or WPRadio could have a monthly International Feature (Apps/Games/Developers/Activities etc). Australia is getting little or no WP Promotion, Marketing etc by MS, so we rely on Redmond activities like the Blog or this PC. Maybe a "Global wrap" covering some key news.
We had some great WP7 Developer Training sessions by Aussie MS WP Dev Evangelist @DGlover. Maybe you could report back on the US coding camps or similar in a future episode?
Here's an awesome, detailed review of all the great new Mango features: www.wpdownunder.com Lots of extra info on Mango (what's new, better and everything else re: Mango).
Cheers,
Sheeds.

Awesome show!! I love the Windows Phone Radio. I'm a huge fan of my Focus There is one question I had...... When I switched from my iPhone to Windows Phone 7 (Best move ever!!!!) I put my windows live account as my gmail account since that is the one the my Zune HD is. After getting more into what Microsoft has to offer I wanted to switch all of my windows live stuff over to a hotmail account to use that one as my primary e-mail. I have not been successful in my labors. All that I've been able to do it link the account together (live, gmail, hotmail) is there a way that you know of how I would be able to do this?
I also had a freind try to convince me to go back to iPhone, I told him nothing on Earth will make me go back to using an iPhone. Windows Phone ROCKS!!!
Thanks Guys!
I am with tyjamcam92. I have a Gmail ID and want to switch to my Windows Live ID. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Guys, I think a refresh button on WP7 Zune would be a good idea. It takes some time to get a new podcast on the phone. The PC Zune client already has this episode 46 but I can’t get it on my phone now. I even checked the marketplace but I can only see episode 45 and older. I’m on WiFi sure.
@tyjamcam92, logon to live.com with GmailID (associated one). Then browse to https://account.live.com/
There you can find multiple options like "Your email addresses" among couple of others. Perhaps, you find what you are looking for. In case it doesn't work out for you, you can ask about it on http://windowslivehelp.com/
Hi guys. Love the show but I am a SoftBank Japan customer waiting for a Windows 7.5 phone to reach my carrier. I have had opportunities to play with the Fujitsu IS12T at AU. When can we consider a "real" entry into the Japanese market with some of these great devices or more from Japanese manufacturers? Any info is hugely appreciated! I am close to the end of my contract and another iPhone is NOT in my future.
Haven't listened to the podcast yet, but wanted to say that the Bing 'The Walking Dead' commercial is pretty sweet. Nice use of the Sammy Focus.
I'm kind of surprised there really wasn't a peep about iPhone 4S and Siri. I absolutely am loving Mango, and there's absolutely nothing in either the Apple or Android arena that would draw me to them, but so far the conversations I've had with iPhone users is all about Siri.
@Brian and Matt.
Ok, I will make you guys a deal. Since I'm drooling over both the Focus S and the Titan, here's what we will do. You'll send me one of each (you can even throw a Nokia into the mix, I won't mind). I'll use them all, and tell you which one I like best. As payment, I'll keep the phones =). I mean seriously, who better to review a phone then someone who is actually using them.......
Great show again. I think since Michael is so busy and can't come to you, just surprise him in his office for the next podcast.
Any idea of when we'll get some more specs from Sammy concerning the Focus S?
I'm with @Conny. Both the Titan and the Focus S have my attention at the moment, hands down. The big key for me is storage. The web hints at a 16GB and 32GB version of the FS. If a 32GB version will be available, I'll definitely upgrade from my Focus (sporting 40GB right now). I've got exactly 8GB free space remaining right now, so I'll obviously have to trim down my music collection onboard in order to move to the newer device....but that's better than cutting it in half.
Well, sometimes technology can be your downfall, and you just have to laugh at it. I've gotten to where I really rely upon the voice capability of WP7.5, particularly in my car. I was TRYING to text my wife a message, asking if she had gotten a hold of a friend regarding a computer desk we had to give away. I tried this message over 20 times, but TellMe just couldn't understand the word "desk". I'm thinking, this thing supposedly learns from everyone, but SURELY someone SOMEwhere has used the word "desk" a time or two! But I got everything from "guest" to "a$$". I don't a unique dialect or accent, BTW. Oh, and to add insult to injury, several of the failed attempts actually got sent to my wife (who got a good laugh) when it misunderstood me saying "try again" as "send". Thankfully it was my wife I was taking and not our Pastor!!!!!
I thought I escaped any of the issues that some folks have mentioned with the Mango update, but today I encountered the "disappearing keyboard". I noticed that the latest info seems to indicate that the issue is random and isn't hardware-dependent. It's not a showstopper, by any means, and is certainly very tiny in context of how really fantastic 7.5 is. What I WILL be interested to see is if this ends up being something that Microsoft attempts an OTA fix for. I would hope, though, for the sake of the folks who haven't received the 7.5 update yet, that Microsoft won't completely halt the update. In my opinion that would be a mistake.
BTW, this post is NOT directed at the moderators, but is simply a comment & observation (lest some people pretend I'm asking a one-on-one question or making a demand, LOL).
@ScubaDog2011
I have trouble using the speech text because I have a tendency to "uhm" a lot and it tries to put each one of those in there.
I have noticed that some things (like the music IDer) don't work as well in the car, dunno if my Focus is just picking up too much background noice or what.
You mentioned the changes to the Zune subscription in your podcast. A couple of days ago when I tried to buy my ten songs under the old model, I found that I was early and had to wait a couple of days. Imagine my surprise when I got a bill for $10 and a move to the new subscription model. Apparently I had accidentally changed my profile. That's probably my fault.
I tried to rectify my error through chat support (I don't tweet.. yet). After 35 minutes of waiting I had to give up. Tonight upon trying the chat system, I was treated to chat system being down entirely due to an "Unplanned Service Interruption".
My point is that I really do believe that WP 7.5 on my Focus is fabulous. I like the short learning curve, stability, Local Scout, text to voice, Bing Vision I could go on for a while. But this was not my only disappointment with customer support. You're fighting an uphill battle when your customer support side lets you down.
Hey.
Thanks for a great podcast. So you said you were at ~8k gamerscore? Well this list could help you out: www.xbox360achievements.org/.../showthread.php
This site focuses on gaining gamerscore, and the main site covers guides, walkthroughs and a "G" addicted community.
I'm around 47k GS, but on x360a a 47k score is just mediocre!
Hope it will help you, it did (and does) help me.
Good luck

Hey Guys one of the few annoyances with the Zune part of the phone is some bits are not consistent.
You mentioned share in ep. 46 , which I was listening to on the phone. No way to share a podcast or podcast episode.
If you go to artist / albums the menu doesn't have share on it. Open the album to songs and share appears, but more-in-marketplace doesn't you only get that when you have a song open. There's no menu on history items, and only partial one on new items. Fleshing out the menus would be good thing to push for the next release.
Oh and if you want an awesome feature, Bing-Visual with OCR, translation and QR code recognition. Awesome stuff.
