I’ve been waiting for the Lenovo IdeaPad U300s to come to market since early September when I first saw it during Fashion’s Night Out. To be honest, I have a rather intense love affair with the previous released version of this PC. So, I was excited to see an updated model. Upon first sight on pretty white pedestals in Saks, this new line of PC won my heart. It’s light, with long battery life and colorful. So, I was thrilled when Lenovo let me test one out.
Here are some highlights:
As a business PC manufacturer first and a consumer PC designer second, Lenovo puts a lot of time, thought and testing into all their PCs. They optimize to reduce finger fatigue and then include a lot of premium technologies like backlit keyboards and multiple USB ports.
I recently was in the Caribbean with journalist Kraig Becker who spent time testing out the newest Lenovo ThinkPad X1. All I could do was tell him how excited I was to about the U300s waiting in my office. It hasn’t disappointed. There is a great demo video that will help you get further acquainted with the U300s located here. While you are watching the video you can click on the features as they pop up to learn more and then continue watching the rest of the video.
What do you think of my new PC? I obviously love it. Check out some images below and then all the specs at the very bottom.
I'm so thrilled to be giving one of these away, thanks to Windows and Lenovo. Such a beautiful machine!
@Selfishmom - thanks to you for being such a great supporter!
@Kristina These babies look great, but its a shame theres nowhere to get one from here in the UK. I've been following the progrss of ultrabooks for a while and cant believe i still cant walk into a shop or on lenovo website to get one!!!
I'd love to have one right about NOW... tired of having to explain to clients why apple laptops and much more classier than PCs.
@taabello-- I'm not sure when they'll come to the UK but I hope for you it will be soon. This PC is sooo beautiful!
I was all set to get one of these, but then I saw they did the same standard, blah, 1366 x 768 resolution. So I'm getting the UX31 instead since they have their trackpad driver issues ironed out. The U300s is definitely a nice looking machine though.
@SelfishMom - Is there a contest or something I can do to try and get one of these for Christmas?
Thank You
