With 15 hours of battery life, I'd go to college, roam around campus, sit on quad, grab a coffee at Starbucks, come back home and cook food while talking to my mom on Skype... all wirelessly, literally. No more finding a power plug and have to carry around a long cable that I should be able to live without! Charge it while sleeping and use all day!
I'd find a quiet, shady tree in Forest Park STL and work on my next sermon...maybe even take a nap somewhere in those 15 hours.
Spend a long day at San Clement Beach catching up on my e-book backlog.
I would spend an entire day out in the woods creating Windows Phone 7 applications. Away from any distractions that would hinder my progress :)
If I had a PC with up to 15 hours of battery life, I'd drive from my home in Los Angeles to a danceclub in San Francisco and build up a dj set during the trip. I'd then do a 1-2 hour performance using the set that I built, and afterwards unwind on the drive home by catching up on the latest tv shows the whole way back! All without ever having to plug in my laptop!
Ok, I guess I wouldn't be doing the driving myself, because driving whilst using a laptop is not only illegal, but it's somewhat unsafe as well! ;)
If I had a PC with 15 hours of battery life, I'd give it to my wife so she didn't have to use her ancient, near-death PC (which has NO battery life!).
I like travelling around very much and my computer is always with me. The reason I carry it because having a solid access to Internet from PC allows to me surf with ease on bigger screen than using a smartphone like WP7 (which I love to0). At the same time, I like being in contact with friends and family. Posting pictures after full on edit with help of PC. Unfortunately, my oldie PC isn't power friendly so I just carry power charge all times. But with 15 hours, it is whole way to look and find how PC can make person's life easier on the go. Also the light weight is neccesary to keep me going. Walking on foot is tiring but with awesome PC with you, makes you feel like you got yourself nice virtual pet who gives company of world with you
Plenty of time for a quick flight up to Alaska from Seattle, and then can enjoy an evening under the midnight sun!
@tigerpop-- that's super sweet of you!
@Jonathan-- what kind of sermons do you write?
@curdiceaurora-- that's what I did all last week at the Jersey Shore!
I would give it to my wife in the morning and tell her not to bother me unless the battery runs out _ Do it every day, and live to be 100 !!!
If I had 15 hours of battery life, I'd stop worrying. Maybe get on a flight to from Minneapolis to Tokyo and still have a few hours left when I got there.
@drankun --- that is hilarious; PCs helping people stay married and live longer. ;)
If I had a PC with 15 hours of battery life, I would use it to talk to friends and relatives on Skype, and do some online college study from home. I'd take it to work and fix computers two states away remotely. Then I'd go to my friend's house and create some cool films with animation and visual effects in Blender, and work on my latest classical composition for orchestra. Still running the same battery, I'd head off to the local programmer's group and show a PowerPoint presentation outlining my latest tips for Windows 7 application development. Finally, I'd return home and catch up on the latest tech news, read the awesome Windows Experience Blog, and upload my new animations to YouTube. By the end of the day, there would still be several hours of battery life left, but it would be late, so I'd head to bed. But first, maybe I'd charge the PC, just for old time's sake... "Hey, where's the charger for my PC? I can't find it; it's been three days since I last used it!"
If I had 15 hours of battery life, I'd attend classes in the morning, grade a few undergrad assignments for my prof with the notebook on to check up whether the weird stuff some people come up with is lifted from somewhere on the net :P .
Then get back to my apartment and head to the laundry room with my laptop to do my LONG OVERDUE LAUNDRY ( L O L ?? ;) ) with the laptop so I can catch whatever movie / tv-show I want and not have to watch the inane stuff that's on the common TV in the laundry room :D.
Pity I don't have a picture of the laundry room. Well here's a link to the college website's photo of it - www.housing.gatech.edu/.../052Laundry.jpg
So yeah, there's my honest-to-God answer.
With 15 hours of battery life, I'd be able to make good use of that S-series VAIO, doing all the things I enjoy doing from the comfort of wherever I choose, free from any power cords. Managing my pictures and music, to surfing the blogosphere for all sorts of technical knowledge to further my search to land a new job. TIA!
With 15 hours of battery I would write a really really really long email to every company in the united states to allow prizes like this to be won in Canada as well... :(
I'd take it with me to //BUILD in Sept! It would last the flight from NC as well as the day-long talks.
With 15 hours of battery life I'd fly to Hawaii and still have several hours left to sit on the sandy beaches and enjoy both kinds of surfing!
With my own Sony Vaio S and 15 hours of battery life, I could be the ultimate network technician. Since I wouldn't have to carry a power cord, I'd have more room for tools and USB flash drives with various utilities on them. Since I'm about to graduate college after this year, a new laptop to manage my network and the network of whatever company I work for would be perfect. Especially a sweet one like the Vaio S that gets 15 hours of battery life.
If I had 15 hours of battery life I would put my computer on a table before the sun arose and I would start a video camera recording it. I would then take another video camera and record my whole day and then patch the videos together in split screen and it would be a testament to what could happen during the entirety of the computer's battery life.
I'd achieve 3 stars in each level of Angry Birds - in one 15 hour, marathon, bird-flinging session.
I would find a comfortable spot, with a good view of the mountains, in Colorado (Boulder area), and I would post a new picture to facebook every hour to make all my friends back in KC jealous!
If I had 15 hours of battery life I would watch re-runs of Friends all day in my bed. Trust me. I have no plugs anywhere around my bed and the 15 hour battery life would definitely help.
I'd take a nice long flight to Germany and spend the time watching movies, reading books, writing and listening to music on my Windows 7 laptop. I'd arrive with plenty of battery power left to blog from the delights of Frankfurt, Germany and then go post live video blog updates from the Women's World Cup Final! www.fifa.com/.../index.html
If I had 15 hours of battery life, I would take my laptop on a semester abroad to Paris. I have plans to do so, to study and do research in Neuroscience through an undergraduate study abroad program. 15 hours of battery would make the trip that much more enriching and effective. Besides enjoying foreign films or searching Parisian cuisine on the plane ride there, I would take my laptop around the city with me, documenting sights, maintaining brainstorms, and fueling scientific and socially influential ideas inspired by one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
With 15 hours of battery life I could leave my computer in standby mode for days at a time, waiting for the moments I am free for homework.
I'd find a nice scenic riverbank to sit on and use the laptop to write an epic poem about the dawn to dusk life on the river.
15 hours of Battery life would be so awesome for me to do everything. During a typical day on campus, I'd be there all day. With such a long battery life I could take notes in class (or check my facebook), and use my computer in between classes. No more having to hunt for an outlet around campus to plug into when my battery runs low. As a writer, I can spend hours working without looking at the battery meter and everything I work on is lost when my battery dies.
If i had 15 hours of battery life on a laptop, I'd go to my favorite spot on campus. Its secluded, quiet, and peaceful. Unfortunately, there's no outlet there! I'd spend the whole day there watching movies, catching up on TV shows, and maybe even working on class assignments. There's nothing like alone time to gather your thoughts.
There are twenty four (24) hours in a day. The Mayor Clinic recommends that adults have seven (7) to nine (9) hours of sleep [averaging eight (8) hours]. This leaves sixteen (16) hours left. I need to eat three meals a day, which each would take about twenty (20) minutes apiece to eat.
So with fifteen (15) hours of battery life, I would eat, sleep, use my computer, plug it back in, and repeat.
If I had a PC with 15 hours of battery life, I'd spend my time chatting with my friends via MSN messenger or AIM, Skyping with my Twin/Best Friend who lives in another state, catching up on all my Korean Dramas and subscriptions on YouTube, and trying to keep in touch with all my old friends from high school while playing a little Terraria here and there. :)
If I had 15 hours of battery life, I would have to trade in my Mac! It wouldn't matter where I went, life would just be that much sweeter!
If I had a PC up to15 hours of battery life, I’d ...
... write a blog post about what I'd do with 15 hours of battery life using Windows Live Writer
... check out my notifications on Facebook through Windows Live Messenger and Windows Live
... edit some family photos and organize and manage my photos using Windows Live Photo Gallery
... upload some photos to share with family and friends to Windows Live via Windows Live Photo Gallery
... shoot a couple emails to share photos and videos from Windows Live to family and friends with Windows Live Mail
... run a quick scan with Microsoft Security Essentials
... update my more productive calendar through Windows Live Mail
... watch a couple videos with Windows Media Player
... type up some papers with Microsoft Office Word 2010
... finish up that class presentation with Microsoft Office Power Point 2010
... organize my recipes wih Microsoft Office OneNote 2010
... manage my banking accounts with Internet Explorer 9 and Microsoft Office Exel 2010
... burn that family video one a DVD for my family with Windows DVD Maker
... be on Windows Live Essentials Messenger the whole time sharing photos and videos to family and friends ...
... all with the awesome ability and ease of doing accomplishing all that anywhere and anytime with the enhanced productivity of Windows, Windows Live, Microsoft Office, and of course that 15 hours battery life of a Windows powered PC making life easier.
If I had 15 hrs of battery life I'd leave my Macbook at home......and be very happy!
Find the longest flight and take tons of movies with me. :)
I would replace this old and dying computer, take me new computer and go exploring the country, especially after I retire.
If I had 15 hours of battery life, I'd sit outside, inspired by the nature in my own backyard and perhaps finish writing my book.
I would take my laptop to college without thinking about carrying my charger, i would be able to sit anywhere in the library and restaurants; and actually i will take my laptop to college everyday!! :)
I'd use every min of the 15 hours to try and finally beat Angry Birds!
Oh man, if I could go 15 hours without a plug-in, I'd be on the beach, in the park or maybe just camping out next to the fire pit in my backyard, watching movies all night long. A guy can dream, right?
With 15 hours of battery life what couldn't you do. I would spend at least 6 hours on games, at least 4 hours on netflix and the other 5 hours has to be for music and uploading the pics/video I take and editing them for social networking sites. Go Windows! (I could do this anywhere with 15 hours battery life I could go anywhere and do just about anything!)
15 hours is more than enough for every day, I don't have to worry about charging except when I get home and plug it in by my desk. :)
I would give it to My 95 year old Dad and 93 year old Mom so I could skype whenever I wanted since we live in different states... It would be great seeing them daily! And whenever I felt like!
If my PC had 15 hours of Battery Life, I wouldn't have to worry about finding an available outlet at the campus library during midterm and finals seasons.
I'd never have to worry about running out of power while flying anywhere!
15 hour battery life = me not having to worry about the next 4day blackout due to ice storms, at least I wouldn't have to worry about keeping the family entertained. Gotta love the winter weather here in NH
I'd play Farmville outside on my deck.
I would sit at home and surf the web! I would dream and write songs using it!! I would use it for my college courses this year. I only have a desktop it would be nice to have another Windows Computer that I could actually carry around. Carrying a desktop around would be a little challenging! But hey, at least I would stand out in a crowd haha! I would love to now have to plug something in for 15 hours!!!! It would be so helpful and nice! Thanks for the chance to win one! I have always used Windows systems and I love them!
I would DJ a party (aprox 4 hrs), listen to music on the way home, and once i got home i would group chat with my mom, sister, and ohter friends all wirelessly :D
I would go to Madison to make and publish a cartoon on YouTube poking fun at Governor Walker right in front of Governor Walker.
I would start my work on my first scripting :), (im 13 and wanting to start :D) I would work on the webpage I'm making for my parent's business and work on other things that I want to improve on with scripting, talk to my friend on skype, and relax and play some minecraft... in the time frame of 15 hours, I'm not much of a laptop person. But a laptop with 15 hours of battery life! sign me up !
I would be able to watch movies and stay online the whole time I was on the plane to visit my sister in Turkey in February. Awesome accomplishment!
If I had 15 hours of battery life, I would roam all around the county I live in, talking to friends on Facebook & Skype, and not even bring the charger! I'd never have to plug it in, unless I'm sleeping! I'd love it!
I would hop on as many trains as possible and see if I can make it across the U.S. with my battery idle.
15 hours of battery life is a long time. Not only could I fly to L.A. and hang for a while, I'd be able to charge my Windows Phone 7 while I was at it. (I do have a Samsung Focus) I'm a film student so I'd spend the time at Warner Bros.' back-lot: photos.igougo.com/.../p213280-Los_Angeles_CA-Warner_Bros._Backlot.jpg snapping pictures of production and trying to snag some tickets to a taping of CONAN. I'd send some emails to my friends about where I am and spend the rest of my time seeing the sights and films of L.A. before hopping on a plane and spending the plane ride playing Angry Birds and Bejeweled. I'd get home just as my PC begins losing it's life and plug it in. Afterwards, I'd crash on my bed after a full day. (How crazy would it be if Microsoft made everything? I mean, I have a desktop PC, Windows Phone 7, and Xbox 360, but what if they made beds and planes too? Random thought /end)
I'd run a news program and do all my editing on this computer.
With that much battery life, I would take my laptop into the local forest. There I would play music, read articles, webcam with my friends, and write. All without worrying about battery life what so ever. I forgot to charge my laptop last night? Oh well! There's still plenty or battery left. It would help make my relaxing day even more relaxing.
I'd reckon I could either get through a full day's classes + internet browsing... or 4 hours of video games. Either way, 15 hours, even exaggerated would be enough to get me through a single work day untethered... maybe throw in a 3G modem for good measure.
With 15 hours of battery I'd work on my startup somewhere other than at home. I'd see other people and see the sunlight instead of working at home all day and night with little natural light and no human contact.
I would storm chase longer and not have to worry about my battery dying so fast if would also allow me to do better research Lawrence from svrhd.com #15hoursbatt
If I had 15 hours of battery life I would finally sit my mom down on the patio and teach her all she needs to know about the computer. From putting family pictures on the computer to teaching her how to use "the Facebooks" :P!
I would turn it on in the morning when I wake up and turn it off when I go to bed, just like I do with my desktop computer. It would be the same except I could look at different walls while I worked.
IF I had a laptop with 15 hours of life, I'd go to Quantico, VA and take my grandchildren on a historical tour to Washington DC, do research on whatever we were seeing...upload hundreds of pic's and totally enjoy every minute of the 15 hours! My son-in-law is a US Marine and my grandbabies move a lot!
I will be able to create my college class PowerPoint presentation in one day! Even better, I can use my computer outside without worrying about where I need to plug my computer to charge. #15hoursbatt
I would use it for the many days a week I end up going straight from school to work. It's not always easy to find a place to charge my laptop and its current two hour battery life only makes it through two lectures at a time (If I'm lucky) before I'm stuck without a computer for the rest of the day!
With 15 hours of battery life, I think that I would complete my schoolwork, make a few powerpoints, then grab a Starbucks coffee, all while listening to music, and watching videos.
I'd scream, "hallelujah!" because the battery in my current laptop lasts maybe 30 seconds.
I'd be programming almost non-stop regardless of where I was!
With 15 hours of Battery life, I would play a slidshow of all of the photos that I have taken with my digital cameras since 2004 at our outdoors family reunion! With Music!
If I had 15 hours of battery life, I would not have to get to school 30 minutes earlier to snag the seat by the socket. I would not have to buy bigger and bigger rolling book bags to house an endless supply of cords. My cords would not wear out due to being used 24/7. I would be free to study outside on campus or at the coffee shop while studying with a cool breeze running across my face, instead of being locked up inside developing a Vitaman D deficiency from lack of sunshine. A 15 hour battery would allow me to experience the fullness of life, unplugged!
15 hours would make one less thing I have to take to campus! With a 6 hour break between classes, finding an outlet can be difficult and makes it so you can't move around and especially can't sit outside! A long battery life would make it so I can sit anywhere and even bring work into professor's offices without the hassle of a power cord!
#15hoursbatt If I had a PC with a battery life of 15 hours, I would go take my Toshiba Satellite Laptop with 15 minutes of battery life and watch it burn. I woul love 15 hours of battery life, rather than 15 minutes.
I'd be able to follow my kids around all day, telling all my facebook and google+ friends what they're up to, and watching movies or listening to music when they're doing their own thing.
And watching netflix or hulu in bed and not disturbing my sleeping wife.
I would be able to do ALL my work at the beach and not have to worry about watching the clock and worrying if my battery was going to hold out. That would be Windows Awesome!
I would use my PC and its fifteen hours of battery life to single-handedly protect and save the world from the Zombie Apocalypse. Aside from that, I would complete all my graphic design work, share pictures and videos with family and friends, do some hardcore gaming, and most importantly- finally be able to throw out my crappy Mac computer. Go Windows!
With 15 hours of battery life, I could finally work on those articles I've been meaning to write outside in the beautiful summer weather, instead of being chained in my office to a wall outlet. Viva
With 15 hours of battery life, I would be able to write more freely on my novel, without distractions, and could (with luck and perspiration) become a published author! I would be able to work outside where my son couldn't distract me (he's 2 :) and I love him) and I could use it in bed, at night without worrying that it was going to die on me. Heck, I could even be emailing copies to proof readers and editors after I was done working on chapters for a day, because the battery life would still be going!!!
If I had a PC with 15 hours of battery life I'd be able to attend a full day of classes without having to spend my breaks hunting around campus for outlets that were all ready taken or broken. I'd be able to do my course work on campus without having to worry about whether my laptop will burn out if I go to the bath room. With a PC with 15 hours of battery life I'd have time to even slack off a bit and maybe watch a movie between assignments and classes.
Seriously, probably start up my voice acting career.
Though I wish I had a funny comment to add like some of you guys.
I would give the pc to my daughter to go to college. She uses my ancient laptop which lasts about 3 hours or if she is really desperate her little sisters Samsung N150 plus that does not even have a disc drive. What would she do with it? IMy dream would be ...take it to all her classes, take extremely good notes, create writing masterpieces that "wow" her professors and eventually lead to a fabulous career in journalism, all the while being able to tweet and facebook to her hearts content....Ok so I dream big.... how about just have something reliable so she actually can do her school work!
With 15hours of battery life I could be the ultimate student and gamer and I wouldn't have to be stuck to my desk all day long!!
If I had a laptop that afforded a luxurious 15 hours of battery life, I would fire it up and begin working on my screenplay. Writing, proofing, editing, re-writing... it can take a lot of time to get it just right. There's even enough power to chat with my friends awhile... bouncing ideas off of them. Probably even spend time searching for more inspiration on the internet. And if that battery hasn't given up yet, probably editing some videos to pay the bills on my way to getting my screenplay picked up in Hollywood.
With 15 hours of battery life, I'd find a beautiful spot on the Ocean City, NJ beach next to my wife and enjoy the day! I could work and get a tan at the same time!
With a computer with 15 hours of battery life, I would take a road trip to New York, enjoying music and videos/movies on the way up, and when I reach Times Square, I would take some pictures and still have enough battery life to post them!
Go for a 15 hour C# coding binge for my programming class after hours at the community college in the cafe! Although, I'm sure they'd boot me out after five... Well, at least not having to camp outlets would be pretty sweet.
With 15 hours of battery life. I would be able to continue my college courses while being able to be out and on the go with my 1yr old son so we are not stuck in the apartment all day.. I can get school work done as well as give my toddler a chance to be out in the open playground area with other kids since I cant afford day care. It would be a much needed change from the charger cable leash!! Less burns on the legs from an overheating battery of course!
15 hours of battery life? Well, grab a whole box of popcorn because it's Netflix movie marathon!
I would write a whole biography about my life. I'm sure I can do it in 15 hrs since there really isn't anything interesting about me. It would be tough though since I don't remember half of my childhood. I'd also spend those 15 hrs searching for jobs. I'm tired of being unemployed! =)
With 15 hours of battery life, I would use my laptop in all of my classes. Then I would find a nice, big tree to sit under and program all day while admiring the campus's green, grassy landscape :)
With 15 hours of battery life, i'd be able to keep up with my many social networking accounts, while maybe playing some Halo2. I'd be able to roam from spot to spot, be able to use it the entire day without stopping by my house! My computer wouldn't force a hibernation on me anymore! College life will be a whole lot easier too. It would be a truly amazing thing, something I would not normally find in today's computers.
I would internet all over the place. I could actually unplug my portable desktop of a laptop without dashing over to the nearest outlet before it shut off. No joke. 15 hours on a laptop without plugging it in, compared to 5 minutes would be wonderful. I have never owned a new computer in my life. All of mine are handed down from relatives and 5 years old or older. Like my first laptop. I had to prop the screen up on something to use it because it just. . . Fell over. My dad lovingly named it 'Proppy'. . . Recently, I went and bought a game. I was blinded by the thought of taking out some zombies and I did not consider my computer's requirements. I should have known better. I haven't been able to play it.
I would love to be able to game with my friends without worrying about the intense lagging or lack of battery. There is just so much I could do. I could sit outside someplace quite and calm and draw with my tablet, without worry of instant battery death or drawing a line and having it appear on my screen 10 seconds after drawing it. I am also getting ready to start collage so, taking it with me and working in class or on campus would be another place. I wouldn't have to worry about it shutting off before I could save or searching for an outlet for a while. I could also lay in bed or sit on my couch, instead of sitting at a desk in my uncomfortable folding metal chair.
What I would do with 15 hours of battery life would be using my time for graphic design. I am an upcoming graphic designer so I would further my skills. I am a full time student at Phoenix so I would enjoy the long time doing my assignments without finding a power source. I love listening to music as well so majority of the day I would enjoy this. I am looking for employment so I would spend my time wisely searching and applying for jobs as well.
With 15 hrs of battery life I would show it off to my friends. I would be like: "Another reason why Windows can and will wipe it's ass with a Mac" XD
If I had a laptop with 15 hours of battery life I'd use it for church as a replacement for my bible and notebook. I could use it for approx 11.5 services before a charge!
I'd play the minute waltz 900 times.....
With a 15 hour battery I could take my laptop on photo shoots and use my Eye-FI on my camera to save my pictures straight to disk. Making it easier to back my files up. #15hoursbatt
Maybe move to United States, so I can enter this giveaway ;)
I would catch up with a few season of TV and ebay ... =_)
if I won this, I would give it to my oldest daughter who desperately needs one for school.. she could use it all day without needing to keep charging it and it would still have plenty of battery life to use it afterschool at the library!
Man if I had fifteen hours of battery life, I would use it for one of my most beloved things, debate. My Debate team tournaments are usually an all day thing (12+ hours). Sometimes the rooms we debate in don't have outlets, or enough for both teams. it sucks when you computer is about to die during your next speech. But man, fifteen hours would be amazing!
15 hours of battery life would be JUST enough to fly from Dallas to LA and on to Tokyo, watch a movie during the layover for the final hop to Osaka or Kobe. I might even still be able to check a couple of emails once I'd arrived.
My girlfriend's relatives live in India. With this laptop we could get from Chicago to India without having to fight for outlets at the airport or worry about adapters, fees, and availability of trying to plug in on the plane. We could spend the night in a hotel, charge up, and then drive to her family's village and not ever be concerned about power reliability.
What would I do with 15 hours of battery life? I would love to say that I would go somewhere secluded and write, or blog, or play games, but what I really would do is to use a computer with 15 hours of life in my classroom to help teach my students. I am a Middle School Teacher and I teach reading to students who are below grade level readers. With all the budget cuts I do not have a computer to run my SmartBoard. My students would benefit by having the hands on ability to interact with the SmartBoard. I would be able to have two full days of computer time without cords getting in the way. What a wonderful thing that would be for a classroom! :) #15hoursbatt
id take this badboy everywhere like a 2nd head upload.wikimedia.org/.../Public_toilet_in_Tallinn.JPG
I would use the 15 hour battery to find maps for the fastest drive to the Grand canyon in Arizona, and use it to help find the best spots to stay and stop at. Then while I was there I would hike around and use skype to show my grandmother, that uses a walker, the Grand canyon in views that she is not able to see herself. Then on the way back I would once again use maps to find the best landmarks and then visit various family members on the way home to Tucson.
I would take the bus ride to the love of my life without worrying about having a paperweight 2 hours into the trip.
What would I do with 15 hours of battery life? Well what couldn't I do? What I would do is, use it for a video shoot! I would get my actors in the video together for breakfast and have the laptop there to show them the script and where the places we are going. That will be about 2 hours. Then we would travel to the place, and with my broadband card we would probably watch some videos online on the way there with the computer. So that is another 2 hours. Note that a regular computer would be at very low battery life or dead already. Then we would film, using the laptop to use as a reference on what was going to happen. We would probably use some of the files that the other writers had for the shoot via Windows Skydrive. So the filming would take about 5 hours. We then would grab dinner on the way back home, and while we are having dinner, I could show them a little on how I was going to edit some of the part in the video, or show them what I already made for the video. That would be another 2 hours. Then I would spend about 3 hours making the video at home. And I would spend about another hour updating the details on the video online, and updating my website. The computer would make time restraint and loosing data not a factor in filmmaking. And it would make mobility a pleasure instead of a pain.
If I had 15 hours of battery I would make great pantings and print them and sell them and all the money I gpt I would sell them to donate to Joplin because they had a tornado and I want to continue helping them by going down tere and giving them money! I used to do this but my old laptop broke and I cant support them unless I win so if I win i can support everyone that needs help! Its my dream to help them!!!
With 15 hours of battery life I would be able to unplug my computer for more than 5 minutes before I would have to plug it back in and I wouldn't have to buy a new one for college. I hate my computer so much.
With 15 hour battery life I would first charge my laptop. Then I would take it and write up blue prints for the arcades I build out of PC's. And then when i'm not using the computer, I would put it on standby and have 48 hours of battery life, or more! Lol, these are good times.
What would I do with a computer that has fifteen hours of battery life? I'd be able to take notes during class, check my email, write a quick blog post and read news during lunch time, go home and pop in a movie, go off and write short fiction stories free of distraction in scenic locations (park, forest preserve, state park) during the evening and still be able to come home and play some Age of Empires with my friends.
I would JUMP FOR JOY to have 15 HOURS of battery life!!! I never have enough battery life on my computer 2 hours is it! I would be able to watch movies, organize pictures, do my work and other stuff on long boring flights.
That would be AMAZING!!!
With 15 hours of battery life, I would Photoshop all of the Jack's Mannequin photos I shot the other night in one run - while chillin like a bum in the Outer Banks, NC.
If I had up to 15 hours of battery life, I'd travel around NYC via the subway and with an unlimited metrocard, snapping a shot of me w/ a diff. background each time. It would be like a super slideshow with amazing landscapes of both the city and the suburbs. I'm not aiming for a single location so it would look something like this: trustworthynerdx.tumblr.com Heck, I'd need a new tumblr for this one. All with the webcamera, why? Cause it's never been done.
I'd also enjoy the 14 hour car ride I have to endure on my road trip to the University of Michigan...
(Shorter version on twitter)
first of all, I don't believe you about the 15 hours of battery life. So I need to win the computer so I can check it out for myself. Have a good day
If my battery lasted for 15 hours, I would use the 10 hour flight from San Diego to London to write the next great American novel. Then I would read a great American novel on the way home.
i'd be thoroughly entertained with all my media collection on a 13 hour direct flight from dc to beijing!
I wouldn't charge it for 15 hours while going around showing off my superior battery in an attempt to convince others to purchase one... :)
With 15 hours, I would go fishing and sit playing games on the computer hoping that none of those smelly little fish interrupt me by biting on my hook.
Me? I'd take it to my mother's house, in Kentucky, where she not only has an incredibly slow and ugly Apple iMac, but dial-up. too. I could use 15 hours of battery time going from wi-fi to wi-fi. #15hoursbatt
I'd be able to go to my local co-working place, sit down around the myriad of Macbooks and proudly display my Vaio and HTC Trophy, write a ton of code and have enough battery left to go relax at Coffee Bean and browse Reddit.
And the iPad would never be able to survive the first 4 hours on the set.
I would be outside enjoying the wonderful Florida weather while talking to family and friends. I would also find the time to learn all the new things that the Microsoft Office program offers.
With 15 hours of battery life, I'd go to work in the morning and listen to music thru WiFi on Pandora and when I came home I would use Skype to talk to my close friend who is serving in Iraq. Then I would use it to work on my college assignments all without even needing to worry about finding a close enough outlet.
With 15 hours of battery life I would basically live a my laptop on all day and when I have class take it to class then bring it home and charge at night. If I had to go to the library I would use it there also.
On a Chicago day like this, without the power for 12+ hours, this laptop will be "God Send"! I would really appreacete to have one today!
With 15 hours of battery, i would be able to watch the extended cuts of the Lord of the rings Trilogy on one charge.
With 15 hours of battery life I would spent 7 hours flying to hawaii (trying to forget that I'm in an airplane) use another hour traveling from island to island, and then let it sleep while I spend countless hours forgetting about everything by taking in some sun. Of course I would use the rest of the 7 hours on the return journey because I wouldn't need a power cord :D
If given a laptop w/15 hours of life, I would be using it for my DAILY business (Lighting Design Work - www.quatrolighting.com and also to show my customers what their future lighting design would look like after it has been created!. This would be AMAZING!
I would be able to sit longer on the toilet computing... :)
If I won ....... I would spend 15 hours on facebook.... working on my website artwithnoborder.com ..... work with my friends...... on it. My website is my pride i think i am only awake 15 hours aday i could work and I would probably be studying because I am going to be going to a online school it would be nice to have a laptop for that so i could sit on the couch and work not sit on a hard chair. I would have a 15 hour study session... on the beach.
If I had 15 hours of battery life on my Windows 8 laptop I would:
Respond to emails using Outlook,
develop applications using Visual Studio,
create spread sheets using Excel,
create Power Point presentations,
view my Live calendar using Internet Explorer 9,
organize all of my projects using Microsoft Project,
create a web application with HTML5,
create a Silverlight application using Expression Blend,
create a new database with using Microsoft SQL server and Enterprise Manager,
take some notes with One Note,
All while listening to music using Zune in my living room only taking breaks to play games on my Xbox.
With 15 hours of battery life, I could go fishing all night and play games or watch movies while hoping that none of those smelly little fishes bother me by biting on my hook.
If I had 15 hours of battery life, life would be much simpler. I'd be able to do homework outside of my room or the library. Also, doing anything on the go would be a breeze. Plus, I go to school a long way from my family, so long Skype conversations are always happening. It'd be great to not have to worry about my battery dying while talking, or while taking online tests and quizzes.
I'd definitely send as a gift to my little brother down in Haiti for college. With electricity service unstable now, that'd help him keep up with his school work so he can improve his grades. 15 hours of battery life is juicy!
I would dance around everywhere saying I couldn't believe I won, then would take it to college with me and show it off to everyone, and use it just as much and reasonably as anyone else here would.
oh wait.. I have a mac! MAC FTW!!!!!!! PC SUCKS (except for gaming)
When i read this, i just could think in one thing. When i plug in my laptop to an energy source, i just think in how much energy it uses because i just wanna keep green our world. And after charged it, i just try to spend the less energy possible and in that way my laptop can keep "alive" a long time without being plugged in. 15 hours battery life, means almost 7 times more of what my laptops keeps "alive" after being charged. It's the greatest new i could ever heard about save energy and lenght of the battery charge. If all the computers could live with this lenght, it would be a whole save energy, and maybe our world could be different and less misthreated.
That's all what i can say.
If I had a PC with fifteen hours of battery life, I would probably be able to get a lot more school work accomplished while on the go. I know it's not all that exciting or original, but it's the truth. :)
If I had 15 hours of battery life, I'd leave my gaming laptop at home most days since it's freakishly heavy. I'd also use Windows Live SkyDrive to synchronize the contents between the two laptops and my Windows 7 desktop. Then I'd tweet and email the Windows Phone 7 developers every day begging them to add tethering support to Windows Phone 7 since that's the only feature preventing me from moving from Android right now.
With my 15 hours of battery with out a charge I'll fly to Australia. Google map the best of the best restaurants in Australia. Watch few of the newest movies. Listen to all my favorite artists- from Aretha to JLo. Update my friends on my trip around the world on every social network and IM name. YouTube Beyonce's hottest music video or see JayFunk's newest finger tutting vids. Read a digital copy of "Antigone". Video chat with my connections in England. Or even digitally paint a masterpiece then upload and update my website. All with just enough time to catch up on my Aussie slang! As my computer finally falls to the last bar; I'm at baggage claim checking out the Aussie hottie across the way. G'day mate! ;D

link to grandparents town...upload.wikimedia.org/.../250px-Moscow,_Kansas,_2007.jpg
I could take my pc on vacation, hang out on my beachfront deck loading pictures from my fabulos nights out and adventurous days. Then Skype my sister to show her my view then Skype my parents to talk to my daughter. Id stay up late working in bed without a cord running across the room. This sounds great!! #15hoursbatt

With 15 hours of battery life, I would sit somewhere comfortable and finally clear out all the messages in my inbox. Or just watch 15 hours of movies instead.
With 15 hours battery life I could go to Japan, non stop from NYC and not have to worry about entertainment or work. Then I wouldn't have to worry about recharging it for three or five hours, depending on how long they let me use it on the plane. It would be great.
#15hoursbatt. if i had a 15 hr.s battery life laptop, i would definitely be able to save trips and schedule classes more effectively to take and edit notes and assignments for my degree and research needs. and as a 50 yr. old college student utilizing time more efficiently is very important. 15 hours of battery would be astounding. i can't wait!!!
I'd use that massive battery power to take full advantage of my recording equipment and crank out tons of tracks on the go!

Im in a plane crash at an island located just outside the Bermuda, my laptop is my only way to connect with the world. My net card works at this disclosed location. Id use my 15 hour searching up how to build a life raft, then sign into my skype and chat with some friends, then around noon i would sail away while watching a movie on netflix as my laptop says "Warning: Low Battery, recommended you connect the charger." And what is this in my backpack?!?! A Sony Sheet Battery!!! I could watch my netflix more as I sail away into the unknown and hopefully make it home. THAT is what I would do :)
With 15 hours of battery life, I'd be able to work an entire day (and I suppose part of the night, if I had to) in the field while visiting clients and not having to worry about having to find an outlet! That would rock.
If I had a computer with a #15hoursbatt I would take it with us on our family vacation to Virginia Beach. My family could surf the internet on the11 hour drive there, and I could sit on beach or by the ocean front pool and relax while surfing the net, for the last 4 hrs of the #15hoursbatt life throughout the week to looking events to attend while we are there! Thank you for considering my entry!
With the excellent sleep/resume in Windows 7, I already stretch my normal battery life into a full day's work. With 15 hours of battery life, my stop-and-go usage pattern would probably let me use this laptop for a week between recharges! Talk about never skipping a beat, I'd be the office hero! With my extra time not attached to an outlet, I'd take a vacation (and bring this laptop with me).
I would take the computer with me to work so I have time to do my school work on my breaks and lunch. That way I won't have to stay up late and get up early every morning just to read my coursebooks and write my papers. I would also use it to apply for jobs with Microsoft since I am going to school for Software Engineering.
Posting here because I can't say what I want in 140 characters.
With 15 hours of battery life I'd be able to do much more than I do on my current battery life of 5 minutes. I'd be able to go to college and not worry and wonder if I actually brought my power cable. I'd be able to enjoy Aldrich Park at UCI like every other student does and I can also engineering projects at the same time which I would never be able to do on the current 5 min battery. No more having to sneak around looking for tables and outlets that work so I can use my laptop!
If I had 15 hours of battery life I would grab my blanket and set up camp for the day on the lawn of my beautiful college campus. it would be nice to know that my battery wouldn't die if i decided to do my homework, student government work, and work for my clubs outside instead of being cooped up in my room or in the library all day. Not having to worry about my computer dying would take so much stress out of my day.
With 15 hours of battery life I could head to the coffee shop and get some work done without having to worry about where to plug my laptop in.
If I had a computer with 15 hours of battery life. I would not have to worry about a power cord while I am doing my class presentations an home work while being able to go to jamba juice. I would share my new computer with young adult students interested in learning Graphic Design, Photography and other forms of digital media expression. Then creativity would only be truly limited by one's own imagination, and not by their CPU's battery life!
www.mapsmediainstitute.com/about.html
With a 15 hour battery I would be able to create anything anywhere in Photoshop, my sparks of inspiration would have no limitations. I would be able to work between the Francis Tuttle and High school since it is my Senior year. I would share my creations all the time with friends around the world no matter where I am. With a laptop that had a 15 hour battery I could go to the library and research my family history for hours and hours.
15 wondrous electricity-filled hours of me and my laptop in an eternal union (seems eternal because that is a looong battery life). The imagination knows no bounds with such an amazing battery. However, the ONE thing I have to do, nay, must NECESSARILY do is to hop a plane to Paris. While aboard the plane, I would then watch several DVD's mainly "How to survive the paranormal" and "So you're going to the catacombs?" while simultaneously bragging about my battery life. I would also practice my french with a special emphasis on critical words like "Run", "Zombie", or "Ghost". I would take the remainging 4 or 5 hours from touchdown to explore the catacombs with my laptop turned flashlight. During this expedition, I would be running a live blog where everyone can see my progress. I would drudge on and go to the very deepest levels of the forsaken tunnels. I would then write the most scariest and evilest horror book of all time in the remainding hour of battery life out inspriration and admiration (or my sheer fear) of the catacombs. I would then escape the catacombs and email the script to a studio for consideration offering myself to play the lead man. I would use my very last 2 minutes of my battery to go on facebook and post that I will be in a movie and, of course, brag about my battery life.
With 15 hours of battery life, I would talk to my friends on skype constantly because most of them are online or in foreign countries...my current laptop is five years old and can barely even HANDLE skype or the games i play

I'd take notes in college with Microsoft Office OneNote (6 hours), work as a developer with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 in C# (8 hour), and still have a remaining hour to relax and browse Facebook or Skype friends (1 hour). :)
I would take it along on my computer forensic consulting trips, to the likes of Mexico, Taiwan, and Indonesia. It would make those 12-hour travel days much more bearable. And I would show it off to my students as a power house for computer forensic applications.
take me to the beach! what a great idea to have 15 hours of battery life!
Play Minecraft for 15 hours straight.
With 15 hours of battery life, I would use the PC for 15 hours without plugging it in.
I would catch up on some TV. My 5 kids own since school is out for summer! #15hoursbatt
If I had 15 hours of battery life I'd play pc games for 15 hours and sleep for the other 9. All day, every day.
I would go to the Oregon coast, sit on the beach with an air card, get on the Internet and email, IM, and skype all my friends and tease them that I'm on the beach with 15 hrs of battery life and show them what there missing. With 15 hrs of time I could see a lot of sea life and such. That would be wonderful.
I would smile and tweet about my 15 hours of battery life. Then I would launch Production Studio and get down to makin' some cool stuff.
I would dream. My laptop would go with me everywhere. I would be free. To create. To play. To connect. To journal. At the beach. A park. A cafe. At home. Whenever the mood struck me, without worry of running out of power, I would release my imagination and travel where ever my heart and mind might take me. I would explore universes. I would fly. I would dance. I would dream. Big.
With 15 hours of battery life I'd take it with me on my next round the world trip so I could backup, edit, and post my photos as I went from town to town.
If I had 15 hours of battery life I'd actually be able to write a whole report on campus without having to go back home to plug in. Also after that "strenuous" report writing time, I'll sneak in a video game :)
With 15 hours of battery life, I could go an entire day without charging my battery...I probably wouldn't use that just to go somewhere, but it would allow me to work somewhere without a plug, like outside near some shade or something.
I certainly wouldn't look up porn the entire 15 hours.
Wow, what timing. We're planning a family summer vacation and it's a solid 15 hour car ride. Image, 2 boys in the back seat of a car, watching movies, playing games, creating a travel blog, maybe viewing pictures and practicing editing their mini movies, all on one charge.
Dang. I can't win a PC. I need 2.. wait.. hate to be greedy but I think my wife would like one too, just so she has something to do.
But just imagine, 15 hours, 1 car ride and loads of entertainment all on one charge. Count me in - PLEASE!
Spend the day fishing with my dad off Cape San Blas, FL while using 15 hours of battery life to stream the high lights as well as sunrise and sunset back to my co workers stuck in the office.
if i had 15 hours of battery life, it would make my life so much easier especially the meetings i have to attend and the constant editing i do for photography and school sponsored events as well as volunteering, as well be able to do my school assignments anywhere on campus without worrying about battery life
I'd give it to my girl friend so she could enjoy a whole day of watching Korean TV shows.
I would spend the entire flight to Cancun setting up folders to hold all the pictures that I would be taking while staying at www.hoteloceanmaya.net/.../privilege.php . Then spend the flight back uploading them to every social networking site I have to make everyone drool! #15hoursbatt
With 15 hours of battery life to use I'd get some modeling done on a game I have in development, check my favorite blogs, plan out some design scenarios, take it with me to a team meeting, hook it up to a friend's HDTV for movie night, and STILL have the power to do a gaming session and unwind. All before needing to recharge.
If i were to have a laptop with 15 hours of battery life, I would be able to continuously listen to music on my long commute to see my grandfather dieing of lung/throat cancer. It'll make it easier for me to go to school and type out all my school lectures at the local college without having to sit next to the only power plug in the room (my current laptop only gets 1.5 hours of battery life). I could also give my mother my old laptop for her laptop is getting old and slow and is a really old sony product.
With 15 hours of battery life I'd probably check the specs, then (if the hard drive isn't up to my standard) replace the hard drive and make this laptop my personal workaholic power house. I'd probably run it like a mobile server and then use it to help with the network rendering of one of my latest videos, all while still using it for my online college course.
I would forget the power cable and use it wherever i wanted, even out in the woods. I might even finish a novel before I need to charge.
I would write, write and write!!
I could fly to St Petersburg, Russia. Find a wife. Compose wedding vows. Compose music playlist for the wedding and reception. Get married.
With 15 hours of battery life, I would spend the whole day reading ebooks while wandering around the Arnold Arboretum.
Well first, i would head to the epic town of Torchlight. Then, I would be of to Terraria to fight some demon's and get some sweet sweet minerals to build a new sword! Oh, and of course, I would use it for some serious game design work in between that...game design students need breaks too :]
With 2/3 a days battery life, It would make it easy to do my work without being tethered to a wall at all times. 4 hours just doesn't cut it when you need to get work done on the go. Having that much time to work without worrying about the battery dying would come in handy in almost any situation!
I'd have something to do outside while my wife watches the weeks worth of Shows she has on the DVR. You can only take so much America has talent, American Idol, So you think you can dance, The Voice, Survivor, Amazing Race& Cake boss.....Please help me?!?!?
I would go to the park and after walking trails, I would sit and enjoy solitaire.
Let's be honest, with 15 hours of battery life, I'd finally be able to recharge the battery only when I was sleeping -- so I'd be able to spend the whole summer outside! Work from the patio, play on the pool deck, email from the porch swing.
With a 15 hour battery, I'd leave the cables at home, pack my PC in a hike up to to Macchu Picco. Think anyone has ever blogged from there? Or Skyped? I'd be the first!
depends, does that include while playing DVDs or not not? i am a college student living at home, so i am forced to visit out of state family durring the holidays, so i guess i can use my laptop., while traveling.
and another thing i could do is use my notebook to study, well afterall i am currently in college and trying to get a Microsoft certification or two. and one of those Microsoft Certifications is in Windows 7.
of course then the last time i had laptop more than 10+ hours of battery life i used to play The Sim like crazy. it was the year the game came out in 2000 and in case you were wondering my laptop had like 4 batteries connected to it at once....lol
of course then if i had a notebook with 15 hours of battery life i could just develope applications and whatnot to try to make the laptops battery last longer...lmao.
With a 15 hour battery I'd finally be able to enjoy a summer outdoors without a wall. Take the Zune experience to a whole new level!
If I had a PC with up to 15 hours of battery life, I would be able to not only go to work without wondering where to plug the laptop but to use the Sony VAIO S series PC with 15 hr sheet battery with my children out in the park. I can have the confidence to have my children on a great laptop while traveling without the worry of recharging except over night after a long day of enjoying a 15 hour battery in my computer! Plus less stress through out the day. Being a single mom less stress is always a plus! ;)
If I had a PC with 15 hours battery life I would...
Wake up turn on my PC and check my Hotmail and Facebook for 30 minutes.
Then during my hour long commute on the railroad I'd read todays news and check out Twitter and instant message some friends on Windows Live Messenger.
Once at work I'd spend 8 hours on the PC working away designing gorgeous visual web and interactive designs, emailing colleagues and clients, as well as managing my Outlook 2010 Calendars.
Time for my commute home, I'll spend this hour streaming/watching some missed episodes of my favorite shows from Windows Media Center Internet TV.
Four and a half hours remain on my battery and it's just enough time to write some emails, browse some sites, watch some videos, catch up with some friends on Facebook, read some blogs, and enter some contests to win a Sony VAIO S.
Off to bed and my PC gets plugged in so she'll be ready to do it all again in the morning.
If my laptop had 15 hours of battery life, I'd be able to plug it in only at night and be sure that I'd be able to rely on it for my classes. It'd be able to hold my OneNote notebooks properly and have enough battery life to also run my Outlook and keep me up to date using MetroTwit (Shameless plug). Then when I'm done with my classes, I can realx in the quad with my friends and have some random fun either playing pointless games, or having fun playing music with it. And at the same time, when I'm not at school (Like now) and the power happens to go out because of a storm that destroyed the power lines in town (Like now) and be able to sit on my computer without worrying about running out of battery (Like now) and could also use it to charge my phone (Which I'd like to be doing now).
Anyways, with that 15 hours, I'd have the opportunity to do what I wanted, where I wanted regardless of outlets.
with 15 hours of battery life I would bring my laptop to work in my Ambulance and be able to write all of my patient contact reports as I get them instead of staying at work for 2 extra hours without pay. Thus being able to spend more time with my kids.
if i had a PC with 15 hours battery, wooww it will be awesome. i would like to listening music, playing game, and online to be uptodate people, never worry to plug in my battery, makes easy my daily activity. i will go to college, i will use my PC in whole time in college, take picture with my friends. i will go to beach, get some pic with the view and friends, i'll never miss my memory, because i will have alot of picture. hang out with friends, if we get bore, playing music and get crazy to enjoy music. and playing game hours, it will be very very fascinate.
in everyday, i will have good time, good activity, good work, with my PC, the battery will not make me worried.
#secret : i will discard my old batter if i get the 15 hours battery, because it's just make trouble lol :))
if i get it.......
As a freshman in college, a computer is a must, with little time to charge my PC from going to class then straight to soccer practice for my college, a normal 6-8 hour battery wouldn't last. I would be able to do all of this and still have time to spare with a 15 hour battery life! Oh, and also the 11 hour bus rides to Texas for games would wear it out too. What a relief.

I would be able to go to work and not have to worry about forgetting my power cord!!! And when i go on business trips for one night i wouldnt need to worry about a power cord!! Could Connect while on the train using my data card!!!
If I had a laptop with 15 hours of battery life, it would make life so much easier. I like being able to go to campus without having to carry extra stuff, I am already taking books and notebooks and so much extra stuff for school. And at times our library is so packed that the spaces only available, do not have a power outlet for a laptop. I've had to literally leave the library before because I couldn't find an outlet for my laptop in order for me to complete my studies! It would make things so much easier and being able to complete work easier and more comfortably without having the power cord wrapped around my leg while doing work and watching my favorite show...In the end, it would be very essential to a comfortable and less hectic study environment!
If I had 15 hours worth of battery I would consider taking another trip to Japan, while writing a book. Because, when your stuck on a plane there are few distractions. But most likely it would be used to pull an all nighter at a friend house and even though I've forgotten the charger head off to class and not worry about losing/missing notes. :)
Use it for school then play when I get home.
I would return my iPad and go buy some new stuff for my laptop from the Microsoft store in Houston, TX
With 15 hours of battery life I could watch movies and enjoy my music while camping.
With my new laptop I finally can entertain my insomnia for hours... at 24 hrs McDonald's for free wifi.
With 15 hours of freedom, away from outlets, I would take my laptop everywhere I'd go whether on the road, at a friend's house, at work, or any place in the house! No need for extra cords! As a middle school teacher, I already spend most of my days and nights developing lesson plans, reports, white board lessons or downloading them, editing, grading online, learning new educational programs/sites for my students, and working on tech classes from the university. For personal use, I'd have it to pay bills online without using a work computer or waiting to go home. A 15 hour long battery is freedom -- any place, any time, for work or pleasure.
I would absolutely love to have 15 hours of battery life for my pc! I would use this to my advantage to help my church's kid's ministry by coming up with awesome sermons and other cool pictures and movies and countdowns on my way to Odessa, TX. I love helping people out and if I received this prize package, I would donate my laptop to someone who needed it.
I'm a college student with less than a year left till I graduate with a degree in graphic design. With a computer armed with 15 hours of battery life I could do my design work without being tied to my desk all day. I love getting inspiration from nature and the great outdoors but I usually just have to go out armed with a camera and bring my inspirational photos back. But with a laptop with that much battery life I could just go sit in one of my favorite spots out in nature and work right there. Imagine the inspiration from actually being there instead of sitting in a stuffy office at a desk all day long. I don't even get much sunlight at my desk. My greatest connection to nature there comes from my betta fish bowl. >_< I want to break away from the shackles of my laptop power cord!
If I had 15 hours of battery life, I would be able to listen to about 40% of my music non stop while working on my website and still have the time to edit all my videos for youtube and could be at grandmas house and not have to worry about it dieing
I would take it to school and use it for taking notes during class. And after class find a peaceful place to do my homework. I always wanted to actually be able to use a PC ouside away from power sockets.
If I had a PC with a battery life of 15 hours, I'd have a computer! Instead of stealing my boyfriend's. And I could do anything. Wires can no longer hold me down!
A 15-hour battery life would let me write my novel during my commute, and finish my work during the day, all on one machine and without recharging. I'd finish my book months earlier!
With 15 hours of battery life, I would sit downtown, documenting a day in the life of Sarasota, FL. One learns about a town by watching the life of its center. One only has to sit, observe, and absorb....
I would use it to work from my patio and take it on all my business trips!
With my 15 hours of battery life I would....watch one hour of cute kittens on Youtube because I can't get enough of those darn adorable kittens. Then I would spam people on Facebook and rub it in their face that I am getting 15 hours of battery time on my laptop, while they suffer with only 5-7 hours. For my third hour I would watch some John Stewart on Hulu. Then I might work on some mathematics homework. For my 5th hour I would do some research for my GEO class, which I am writing a paper on the Apache Indians for. Then I might check out Twitter and spam #15hoursbatt to let everyone know who the winner is. I would take a break after this because 7 hours of consecutive laptop time drains my batteries, After this I would check up on my favorite blogs and news channels, and try to make sense of what's going on with the economy. Then I might Skype some people and let em know that I am on my 10th hour of battery life with this amazing Vaio that I had won. Afterwards I might chill and do some programming, or watch the first Lord of the Rings movie. With my final 2 hours of battery life I would check out some new music, check my Facebook to see what's going on, and maybe cry a little over the inevitable death of my battery. Then I would smile though, because I know I can recharge it and do it all over again.
-Evan
What would I do with 15 hours of battery life? Actually live. My laptop would be up at 6am down at 9pm just like me. I can finally stop staring at the battery indicator in the status bar and turn off that widget (that looks like a countdown to the end of the world). I can stop playing, "beat the clock" in an airport or at a conference where the outlets are already consumed by other people. I can charge my laptop at the end of the day, not run around and look for power and then stand waiting for it to charge. I won't have to rush to get my work done. I'll be able to concentrate on more important things like, "tonight is date night!".
If I had 15 hours of battery life I would work at the beach all summer long. As long as I have my cell phone and email, I'm good to go. After work I'd stay at the beach and eat a sandwich while watching Netflix and watching the sun set behind my monitor. I'd update my Facebook status while roasting marshmallows for s'mores and after my battery finally ran down around 11PM, I'd head home for a recharge so I could do it again the next day
I would spend all my free time convincing Mac owners that the PC is the only way for them...
I would Join Kristina on the Beach, sounds fun!!
Since it takes 7 1/2 hours to travel from home to where my husband works, I'd let the nephew drive while I had fun on the computer! When he gets to retire in a few months (& more importantly - come home!), we'd both use it as we travel to see the sights of America
@Windows: I don't have any laptop just using my old desktop PC. As a Freelance Web designer and developer if i have Laptop than i worked with my projects anywhere with 15 hours of battery life.

If I had a 15 hour battery life, I would take it camping with me so I can share my music with my friends. Even make new tracks along side them. I'm an aspiring musician/producer and would maker and share tracks. Then I would charge it overnight when we're sleeping so I could do it all over again as we fish, go quading, and even sit around the camp fire sharing stories.
I will, probably go in a forest, and will search to finish my projects...
I have a form of Autism called Asperger's Syndrome and with 15 hours of battery life it would really help me to keep in contact with my family, friends and my support group. It would mean a lot to me because I wouldn't feel so isolated when I cant see my friends and etc in person or chat with them on Facebook. Also I love watching video's on You Tube. I sometimes like making short video's of my friend fishing and posting them. I would love to edit video's. I don't have a computer powerful enough to edit video's. With my Wireless broadband card I could do everything on the fly no matter where I go or whom I'm with.
#15hours batt: I'd like to take a drive as far up the coast as I could & finish writing four stories
With 15 hours of battery life, I would grab my guitar, viola, audio interface, condenser mic, and of course the laptop and head out to a high place looking over the valley, with a larger mountain blocking the wind, and then spend all day recording music that reflected the amazing view.
Wow. That computer would become one of my best friends. I could easily do my work in airports without worrying about the battery life of my computer, unlike my 3-hour laptop. I would show off that computer to everyone I knew, including Apple fanboys, who don't have Macs as amazing as PCs! :)
The possibilities are endless with a laptop with such a huge battery life. What innovation has done to change our lives is amazing. :)
Leave my charger at home and bring my smaller, preferred bag to work for once.
15 hours of battery life is just amazing. With it, I'd go anywhere I want with it without worrying about its battery life anymore. I can blog, code, read and surf the web anywhere I want. Mobile computing has always been my cup of tea. however my biggest concern about it is its battery life, but with 15 hours of battery life, what else can you ask for? :)
I have a CNC wood router. The machine uses a ton of power and on many occasions, the laptop I currently have (or used to have...I just dropped it) would sometimes blow the fuse. With 15 hours of battery life, I could carve all day long without the fear of blowing fuses and ruining my work. Now that would be Awesome!
If I really had 15 hours of battery life on a laptop, I would run it on High Performance all the time and do all the things I do with it daily from the comfort of my couch with no power cord attached.
With such a long life laptop, I would dump my tablet. Who needs a tablet with such a laptop? :)
I would finally be able to last an entire day of taking notes in classes without having to worry about finding the closest seat to an outlet! And I'd be able to do it without having to always worry about dimming my laptop screen to a ridiculously low brightness where I can barely read what I'm typing!
www.sfsu.edu/.../student_center.jpg
I would actually start taking my laptop to places I go out to vacation on where a power source is not always available except in the hotel room. Imagine being required to charge the laptop once overnight and have 15 hours of Windows goodness ready the next day. Every day.
@Windows #15hoursbatt, If I had a Sony VAIO S series PC and a sheet battery, I would set an alarm on the Sony VAIO to wake me up in 14 hours and 45 minutes. Then I would jump in bed, sleep till the alarm wakes me, turn the alarm off, roll over, pull the sheet battery up to my neck, and sleep for just a little while longer.
First off, if I had a laptop with 15 hours of battery life I would use it to enroll at ITT Technical Institute and get my bachelors in computer networking. I would have plenty off battery life to look for a decent job to afford to live in Grand Rapids, MI while in college. Then I would send thank you emails to the entire team for making it possible for me to live in G.R, MI and go to college. www2.itt-tech.edu/.../school.cfm
It would be heaven to have a laptop run all day without needing a charge. Traveling to Florida and then going to the beach without charging would be a dream come true. Winning this Sony would make my life complete.
I'd give it to my girlfriend as a ring. and I think her answer will be definitely yes coz you know the people's situation about social websites. she spends nearly 15 hours on it.
I'd give it to my girlfriend as a ring. and I think her answer will be definitely yes coz you know the people's situation about social websites. she spends nearly 15 hours on it. So I think she feel like great without plug and also she can use it in toilet.
With 15 hours of battery life, I'd spend the day redesigning my website, InDesign'ing an online magazine, writing posts for my blog and Her Campus branch, creating Polyvore and Olioboard sets, searching for decor inspiration on Pinterest, catching up on the 1000+ blog posts I have waiting for me to read and maybe write a few pages of historical fiction in that last glorious hour.
I don't know for you but here in Serbia is summer... what would I do 15 hours near computer? Perfectly nothing. Campfire, friends, girls, beer, river (cold one...beer also) that's what i do for 15 hours almost every day. Okay WE WILL use 15 hours battery life for 15 hours of music. Good i now how to use it in this hot days....give me that Sony ^^

I would take my new Sony Vaio and head out to the Fort Worth Water Gardens...there, I'd bask in the heart of the city, surrounded by peaceful water noises, soaking up the sun and STILL able to surf the net for hours, skyping to my heart's content!
I think I work from the park while setting under a shady tree.
If I had 15 hrs of battery life. The first thing I would do is benchmark. Once I know what I have to work with. I would load one my favorite games. Or sit down and finish the Marci's song. Or watch a movie. All the above. I would have plenty of battery. I would be exhausted before the battery is. This is a good thing.
What wouldn't I do with 15 hours of battery life? I would not Run with Bulls, but I may go tweet it and video cast it live. I would not clean out a ceptic tank, but I would post the gorey details on my facebook page. I would not swim the English Channel, but I might learn french while I watch someone do it, so when I get to the other side I would be able to communicate. Heck, I would refrain from eating a Klondike Bar, but I would travel to the Frozen Tundra and watch a Klondike eat a Klondike Bar. In summation, while others may do the ordinary,a nd some may the unordinary, I would use 15 hours of battery life to share those things with the world.
If I had 15 hours of battery life, I would go on a long road trip with my wife and kids and let them watch movies on the laptop for all 15 hours. We would probably head down to Tucson to visit some family.
I would finally be able to wake up, go to every class and take notes without having to constantly worry about my battery dying, be able to go back home, finish a website, and watch a movie or some tv shows before having to plug my laptop in when I go to sleep, all in one battery charge.
If I had 15 hours of battery life, I would take a trip up to Mackinac Island of the north shore of Michigan, a place you can only get to by a 30 min trip by ferry, so I can be the only one with a working computer on the island!!

(Dre, you have been using that Sony Vaio for past 8 hours now, are you ever gonna put it it down? Dre: No, I have 7 more hours).
I would finally take a laptop to school because I wouldn't have to freak out every single time the battery starts getting low, I don't have all my documents saved, and there isn't a single outlet in sight.
With 15 hours of untethered utilization on a portable computing device I would fly to Maui, in the Hawaii Island and stay around the Kaannapali shores to enjoy the beach.
I would be able to fly almost anywhere and watch movies non-stop. Could do the same on a road trip.
With 15 hours of battery life I would go to enterprise and rent an electric car. And have my friend drive me around for 15 hours while I used my new laptop. Sadly the electric car would have to be recharged more times than my laptops battery.
Man, I could help so many people if I had a laptop with 15 hours of battery life. Look, with that laptop I could share the “world” with people. I could travel someplace new and learn about their culture and lifestyle. I would document the food and traditions people have all while having fun and learning something new. I could also share with them some funny videos on YouTube. With this much battery life I could create a blog of my adventures and share it with family and friends on Facebook along the way!
I would love the help children and kids in need. With 15 hours of battery life, I could teach a lot of kids something new and inspire them to dream. Maybe share with them the amazing things you can do with computers or the last space shuttle launch. Then we could watch a movie or play a game to end the day.
With 15 hours of battery life, I would meet new people and create new and exciting experiences that we'll never forget, literally, it’s on Facebook.
With 15 hours of battery life, I would spend all day in classes without charging my laptop, without lugging around a power cord and trying to find an unused outlet. I would also watch all of the Lord Of The Rings movies, back to back, while laying in the quad, far from an outlet.
Well I work in the housing office at my campus. I am currently assisting a student from Albania who is coming here in the fall with his application and picking a place to live and telling him about the campus. We have a Wi-fi campus so i can get a signal pretty much everywhere. With a 15 hour battery life I would Skype with the student and take my computer around campus and the resident halls to show hm what they look like. Now thats would be some great costumer care. I should get a bonus for it. #15hoursbatt
I would dance my day away. Probably in places of inspiration. The beach, a NYC rooptop, or maybe something simple, like a parking structure or just the sidewalk. No plug, no problem! Imagine the possibilities...
Wow - with battery life of 15 hours, I could go from work, to volunteer tutoring and to school without having to worry whether there is an available plug. It would sure broaden where I could get things done!!
With 15 hours of battery life I would probably actually switch to Windows 7. I've heard good things about the UI, and for my classes, I need something better than my Macbook!
With 15 hours of battery life, I could go to college (starting my first year THIS FALL!!!!), take notes, study in the library, listen to music, download music, do anything and everything without having to recharge while being awake. I would just charge my laptop while I am sleeping.
If I had 15 hours of battery life, I could work and watch my kids while they went to all of their sporting events. That would be the most extravagant trip I could afford lol!

Hmm, 15 hours of battery life, wow?!
Since midterms are coming up and I am a student, I must say I'd stream a little music as I walked right through the library on my way to our campus green and start my studying right under the summer sun! Ah what freedom! Instead of being confined to those horrible chairs and obnoxious lights I could stay sane and write my paper in the fresh air without worrying about battery life.
With 15 hours of battery life, I would use it to look up ways to strengthen my body up and look for auditions and regular jobs (because I am a struggling dancer) and I would do my college homework, read books online, look up place to travel and keep in touch with my friends and family along with watching sex and the city, shameless, and GREY'S ANATOMY. Also, I would all do this at my favorite spot to relax which is somewhere in downtown Chicago that overlooks the Chicago skyline and lake shore drive after a long days worth of dance :D
With a 15 hr battery life, it would just allow for so many opportunities. I would travel to Fernando De Noronha, Brazil approximately a 14 hr 15 min flight which would be manageable with entertainment provided due to a 15 hr battery life. Once at the beaches would definitely show the advantage of work-out-of-office option, a 15 hr battery life is perfect to take care of office work from the white sand beach laying in the sun facing the blue ocean and no need to worry about looking for power outlets.
A small sample of what it would be like:

If I get a Sony laptop with 15 hours of battery life I will sell my MacBook Pro...short comment big meanings!
With 15 hours of battery life I would finally be able to spend my day focused on my work instead of wasting my time looking for a socket. I spend my day on the go, and I need a pc that can keep up. Whether its searching for a potential lead, finding directions to a client, or checking my email, the last thing I need is wires to slow me down.
With 15 hours battery life, I would be able to take all the time necessary to write an exquisite English paper with all the research resources open and running at the same time, without having to be interrupted scrambling for a power outlet. If I had 15 hours of battery life i'd hunker down with my favorite snack and catch up on all the episodes of my favorite shows I've been missing. If my PC had 15 hours of battery life, I'd never have to use the shutdown button! twitter.com
With a 15 hour battery, I would have a Battlestar Galactica marathon... at least, 15 hours worth of BSG. Plus, it would be swell to be able to replace my 5 year old Dell laptop that's nearly on its death bed, but never mind that. I just want to see Cylons for 15 hours. :)
I would catch the first flight I could to Aruba, where I would head straight for a divi divi tree on Eagle beach. I'd spend a few hours napping and swimming without worrying about plugging in my pc.

This is me on my way to the moon in what appears to be a futuristic cannon
It will make my life easier. Having a PC up to 15 hours of battery life would allow me to train teachers online, write up my dissertation and design materials non-stop. Won’t have to wait to recharge batteries every 2 hours or so.
If I had 15 hours of battery life on my laptop I would surf the net in the car while driving to Connecticut to see my cousins. I hate the long ride, and my husband doesn't mind driving. #15hoursbatt

Gas is still pricy so I wouldn't travel far, maybe to a nice local park or a spot up in the Poconos. I'd be able to get some work done, and with all that battery life there'd be plenty of juice left over to play some Sesame Street videos for my daughter!
I could also use my MS streets + trips gps with this laptop and not worry about it dying after an hour like my old laptop!
If I had 15 hours of battery life, I would use the laptop and battery on our roadtrip from Minnesota to Colorado without having to worry the laptop would go down. I would use my Streets & Trips as my navigator all the way to our destination. Our son would be able to play some games while going down the highway. And when it was finally my turn to use the laptop, I could start reading all the pdfs of the blogs, articles, and miscellaneous teacher development stuff I have wanted to read but never get a chance to. Also, I could create my classroom nametags, classnotes, and all the decorative things that need to be done for the start of a school year. You could accomplish alot during a road trip with lots of battery.

If I had a PC with up to 15 hour battery life I would go around to my friends with Macbooks and show them that the battery life on my laptop is better then theirs and let them know that WINDOWS is the way to go!
My twin brother has a Mac and he is constantly getting on me about having to have my computer plugged into the wall all the time to avoid my computer dying! He brags about how he has not charged his laptop all day and has been on facebook and twitter. Honestly it makes me mad so with a 15 hour battery I will get the bragging rights because his battery only last 12 hours!
My twin is not the only one that brags though. I attend the Univeristy of Cincinnati and like most students I take my laptop to class, but unlike most students I have to drag my charger along with me and sit close to an outlet in the classroom. Most of my other classmates have MacBooks and can sit where they choose! Its the simple things in life that matter!
WITH A 15 HOUR BATTERY LIFE ON MY PC I WILL BE ABLE TO ENJOY THOSE SIMPLE THINGS!
~Andre Eanes
If I had 15 hours of battery life, I would use my laptop whenever and for as long as I wanted because I would give my home computer to my sons so they could play World of War Craft and I wouldn't have to share any more.

If I had a laptop with fifteen hours of battery life, I would keep up with my blog while people watching. I would also be able to work on my class assignments between classes on campus at OU. Of course, catching up on my favorite tv shows would be one of my top activities, as well as skyping with friends that live far away. I could get rid of the unlimited data plan on my cell phone, and start using my laptop to update my social media and to read important emails.
I'd get lost-- ON PURPOSE. And spend the entire 15 hours taking pictures, filming and blogging about everything I see, do and discover. All the people I meet, the food I try, and all the adventure I could handle-- it would be the most perfect 15 hours (and one heck of a blog)
With 15 hours battery life... I would ditch it and go with my HP battery that has 32 hours.
I have never had a laptop with computer life and in the fall I will be a junior in College at Appalachian State University. If I had 15 hours of battery life I would be able to take my laptop to campus without lugging the charger as well. With that much battery life I could take notes in class and be more organize keeping all the notes in one place. Also, I would be able to spend more time on campus in the library working more efficiently. Being unable to currently take my laptop to campus with me, I cannot do any work on campus because of the fear I might lose my work. If I had 15 hours of battery life I would be able to do better in my classes.
If I had 15 hours of battery life, I would accomplish my dreams.
I would sit in my comfy chair and write all as many scholarships as I could find.
I would sit in that chair and accept those scholarships.

I would take practice tests over and over again, getting ready for exams.
I would check my grades come semester end and Skype my mom that I had aced everything.
I would apply to medical missions to help the animals that I love.
I would fly to those remote countries on 15-hour flights and never worry.
I would sit in the library for hours and write my application to veterinary school come senior year.
I would sit and have tears of joy running down my face as I told my parents over Skype that I had been accepted to veterinary school.
I would study for long hours all the tiny bones and muscles that I have to memorize.
I would run medical simulation programs off my computer in preparation for tests never worrying about how fast my computer would die.
I would type out long research studies and send them to my professors without leaving the library to get my cord.
I would Skype with all my friends and family about my upcoming veterinary school graduation.
I would sign my first email with a Dr. in front of my name.
And this would only be the beginning…
If i had 15 hours of battery life i would start my day off at a starbucks cafe with an ice cap while i check my email & do some online shopping. Then I would also watch a movie & do some youtube. I would also play some music and have a few friends over for a game night. And i would skype my sister in texas to see my beautiful niece, nephew and also my brother. I would also find some recipes online to do my week of pre-planing meal cooking. And also find a gift for my sister for her upcoming birthday in september. So more online shopping to top it off. then i would check my appointtments for the week to make sure everything is in order. do some online banking (hence the shopping) and then play some games before bed. oh and upload some amazing pictures i have from summer vacation.
If I had 15 hours of battery life, I would gas up the Tacoma, throw the fishing gear, sunglasses, flip flops, and shorts in the back, take a 3-hour drive to Clearlake, get on the motorboat, and kick back and go fishing for a couple of hours all while listening to "The Lazy Song" by Bruno Mars. :) I haven't had a day off for the past years working 3 jobs/internships at 70 hours a week whilst being a full time student during the school year. Tiring :) so a 15 hour battery life + a day off would be ideal to me. :):):)
If I had 15 hours of battery life I could go to all of my classes (21 credits of them!! EEEK!!) and my 2 jobs, and still have time to study after! I could forget my charger and not have to miss class to go back to my apartment and get it to make it through the rest of the day! My technical homework could be after a long day of school and work!
I would submerse myself in nature for the day. I'd find a secret garden made by Mother Nature with waterfalls, an emerald-clear lake, and lush tropical trees. I love the serenity of nature; it'll be a perfect place to just relax, daydream, and contemplate. Everyone needs some alone time to do whatever makes him or her happy and to just relax. With 15 hours of battery life and these surroundings, I would blog, listen to music, and do art to my heart's content without worrying about a charger.
With 15 hours of battery life I could go to all of my classes, (all 21 credits of them! EEK!) and take notes, then go to my two jobs, and stream music for my work day. And STILL have battery life left over for the library and my homework after my long day on campus and at work. I could forget my charger without worrying and missing class to go get it! Ahh the sweet life with 15 hours of battery.
if i had 15 hours of battery life i would pack my computer, the new battery, and a bunch of movies for my roadtrip that im taking in a few weeks.
If I had 15 hours of battery, I'd be able to work on my engineering projects and still enjoy the outdoors. As an engineering student, many of my days are confined to the library or my desk so I can work on programming and compiling data and have an outlet. However, with awesome 15 hours worth of juice, I could work outside and get some sun every once and a while.
With 15 hours of battery life I could check the weather and my email when I wake up, take notes for my classes, surf the web, finally be able to use Photoshop in my 12+ hour stays on campus(since I don't own a laptop), listen to music, stress some about classes, post in forums and blogs, study, and stress more about classes. Before sleeping, I could simply plug in the laptop to charge overnight before I rinse and repeat. Although, the rinse part is only for comical purposes...heh.
Aside from my daily activities having 15 hours of battery life would simply remove any stress from the fear of losing files that were not auto saved in time along with the annoyance of having a power cable running to an outlet which then becomes an obstacle course for the various students and instructors passing by. Knowing that after a long day at school I will have five, or so, hours of battery life left is quite amazing. Most people I know can barely watch a movie or type up a paper before having to plug in their laptops to avoid missing the epic fight scene, or missing the final deadline for graduate level English...both avoided at ALL costs. So with that said, any laptop with 15 hours of battery life is amazing because the span of days where you are not attached to your laptop the majority of the time could result in you going upwards of 4 or 5(or even a week!), without charging your laptop!
As for a location I would travel to it would, without a doubt, be back to my home state of California. I would be able to visit my family and have a great time with them. I would take a trip to the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk where I would just sit on the beach until sundown blasting my favorite Tchaikovsky Symphonies on my new, amazing Sony VAIO(speaking in hopeful future tense). The photo below is a picture I took of the view at the Santa Cruz beach . The wave in midair, the sailboat in the distance, along with the view of the boardwalk made for one of my favorite memories ever captured in the form of art. Traveling back to this location would be amazing. Thank you for the opportunity to receive such an amazingly useful device!

With 15 hours of Battery, I would take my computer freakin everywhere! Class, work, home....... No more searching for the cord desperately trying to plug it in before my screen goes black would be forever gone and I would be caught up on all my Tv shows........... and maybe homework!!!!!!!
With 15 hours of battery life, I guess I would use it in my Computer Science classes coming up this fall. It would be nice to be able to code on Visual Studio 2010 and not have to worry about finding an outlet.
Oh boy 15 hours of battery! Better than 20 minutes of battery life. That means I can use my computer to take notes in class. Seriously, to take notes. Life is difficult with messy handwriting, and a professor who talks fast. Oh yes, I can be all cool and just sit and take out my computer like those devils in disguise called Macbooks. I also wont' need to be sneaky and use my peripherals or bend down to try to find outlets! The opportunities are endless.
With 15 hours of battery life Id go to mountain 7 Psychosis recored my ride down the mounthain and edit it on the laptop and when i end up in hospital i would spend the remaing 13 hours watching my fall!
c4.pinkbike.com/.../pbpic2071147.jpg
With 15 hours, I would never do work inside ever again. Work on the beach? Across the world? Possibilities are endless.
I would plan my RV Trip out in the woods where there is no power. With 15 hours I can enjoy nature and stay connected. Fabulous!
Ok lets be honest.....i could easily spend 15 hours procrastinating without batting an eyelash. So what would I do with 15 hours of battery life? Take my procrastination to locations free of outlets. Like that obscure table in the library that's always empty because nobody wants to be without facebook while at the lib. Or that cafe that has free internet but nobody uses because there's one outlet.......ahhh the possibilities!
I would spend some quality time shopping online and having coffee while skyping with my dear friends who live across the ocean and who I miss oh so much! It's about as close to girl time as we can get! Without having to be plugged in I could carry them around to the coffee shop and show them around my apartment just like they were here with. I would feel a whole lot closer to them if my computer didn't die right in the middle of our talks! #15hoursbatt
I'm quite the hippie. I recycle whatever can be recycled, I grow my own herbs and veggies, I take my own totes to the grocery store, and I go to an actual spring to fill up reusable water bottles. When it comes to computers, I try to be responsible with not leaving it on when I'm not using it, and unplugging it from the wall so I don't waste engery. 15 hours of battery life would be amazing for that. It would help me help my environment around me, as well as my energy bill! I also try not to print things out and waste paper if at all possible, and when I do, I always find ways to use both sides (even if it's for an origami project!). 15 hours of battery life would be AH-MAZING on the road! I try to take a trip every year, and this year my boyfriend and I are planning a vacation to Myrtle Beach. He wants to go for the sand, sun, and ocean - I wand to go for the roadside attractions and museums we come across on the way down!! How great would it be to have all that information in folders on my desk top complete with maps, descriptions, pictures, histories of people and cities, and any other pieces of information I can dig up to make our trip unforgettable! Computers shouldn't solely be about entertainment (even though that's great too!), they are portals of valuable information that should be used at every opportunity to expand your awareness of the world around you! 15 hours of battery life? Yeah, I think that can be accomplished :)
I'm quite the new-aged hippie - 24 years old and very environmentally aware. EDIT: Forgot the hashtag! #15hoursbatt
If my PC had 15 hours of battery life I would be on Yahoo answers / Youtube for hours and hours at night, when I should have been sleeping. My dell can't do that. It goes about a hour and a half and dies on me. None of my laptops have good battery life.
There is a million things I would do with 15 hours of battery but mainly i would probably edit pictures, go video surfing on Youtube, Facebook for a while, and just blog a bunch of random stuff.....all while listening to Pandora of course.
#15hoursbatt. I would use it for school getting all my work done for english class and never have to worrie about the battery dying in class because its a 15 hour battery and i can accommplish my goals:) and graduate high school pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaasssseee i realy need it :)
With 15 hours of battery life, I would first open a number tabs with information dealing with linux, open source and python language. Next I would find a quiet and pleasant area outside and preferably alone where I would begin the arduous task of replacing the OS on the laptop, all the while enjoying the day and taking the breaks/long periods of time to play with my kid and enjoy a picnic with my wife, after which we would put on music which we would stream through a 3g network and dance the happy dance of life, 4 hours later, and we would be looking up recipes for our dinner that night with family we would be having over, all the while playing 2D fighters like guilty x2 and Blazblue to settle which sides we would have with our main dish, which would also be settled with a bout. Later and still with around 10 hours of battery life to go I would consider my new found cordless freedom and count my blessings..
Oh Boy!!! I could have a laptop that wouldn't break down every other second when I truly need it and that didn't cost me another student loan to get and with 15 hours I would go back to my college lecture classes and take notes and when I get bored I will take a study break from notes and play angry birds on the laptop, then I will take myself and the laptop to the library and take advantage of my netflix account especially since the price change and set the laptop to split screen and watch the 70 show while typing up my homework. Then I can take a nap and not freak about being to lazy to plug in my laptop because of the lack of battery life because there would be none then go to my internship and do all the extra work they give me on my laptop while chatting on facebook in between photoshop and text messages and million other things I have to do for the internship.wow I could actually get stuff done in the mist of the study breaks I wouldn't need an outlet, life would be sweet :)
If I had 15 hours of battery life, my flights to other countries would be SO much less boring! Instead of bringing my kindle, my iPod, and putting my phone on Airplane mode, I could just sync up all my functions on the laptop and leave everything else at home! (Or in the case of my phone, turned off and in my purse.)
15 hours of Battery life would enable me to video chat a lot more with my sister back home in Germany. We just found each other online through facebook and want to chat as much as possible. I want to show her around town and taker my laptop with me but that's no go with battery running out. Being able to go to the water front would be awesome .
I would spend fourteen hours looking for a job and the other hour helping my grandparents figure out that dang blasted internet
With 15 hours of batery life I would be able to keep our laptop humming along for the entire drive from Chicago to Boston - where my sone will be heade to college in the Fall. The fully fueled laptop would be a welcome oasis as oppsed to us clinging helplessly to the radio wasetland we encouter along Interstate 80.
Being a sophomore Mechanical Engineering student ambassador for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a race car driver, with 15 hours of battery life, I could get numerous things done!! Not only could I sit outside on a sunny day in Florida and work on race car simulations and designs on my laptop without having to worry about running to an outlet, I could also stay on top of all of my social media (website, facebook fan page, twitter) to keep my fans up to date with all the latest in my racing career! Racing requires me to travel... ALOT! With 15 hours of battery life I could get so much more done on the airplane during my cross country adventures to and from races, meetings, etc..! I could also keep myself occupied during those multi-hour lay overs. I would have the best laptop to fit my fast paced life style where I don't always have time to worry about making sure I'm near an outlet. I could stay ahead of my class as mechanical engineering student, manage all my social media sites for my racing career, AND have some "me-time" to enjoy the awesome 15-hour battery life! On days that I'm racing a car, I also wouldn't have to worry about my laptop dying while going over important data acquisition information crucial to improving my performance on the race track. With 15 hours of battery life, I would take my lap top around campus, across the country, and on and off the race track as I chase the dream of becoming an Indy Car driver.

Omg, I currently have the Sony Vaio E Series and the battery life is less than 3 hours when fully charged! It's always a race against time when I need to finish some work and an outlet is not easily accessible. I love, love, LOVE my laptop, but the battery life leaves little to be desired when I need to take it out and about.
If I had 15 hours of battery life, I could actually get some work done (essay writing, catching up on tv show episodes) during long airplane flights across the country or across the Pacific... and still have power left after I land! Having my lovely E series for over two years, the possibility of having 15 hours of battery is just outrageous!
With 15 hours of battery life, I could take my laptop to school in the Republic of Georgia, where they don't have electricity a lot of time, and show my English students videos. They'd love it! :)
Okay I know we're goin for this one laptop lol. But if i had 15 hours of battery life i'd be using it for school. And i'd be happy because i could carry it around and not have to charge it up all day. Also I'd be gaming really hard and chatting it up with my friends overseas. but eh. we'll see who gets it ;D
With 15 hours of battery life, I would have an all night netflix marathon instead of actually doing my homework.
This computer is my dream. The pink one is very Legally Blonde!
I am going to grad school in London and would love to spend all 15 hours of the battery sitting in Hyde Park drinking elderflower squash (kind of like honeysuckle lemonade )doing my studies where there are no fire ants to bother me unlike at home. Frankly, where I live right now, it's 100 degrees outside so I have never much minded not being able to sit outside for long. My battery life right now is currently 4 hours at most. I would love a longer battery life to enjoy the nice English weather where I can be outside for more than 4 hours without dying of heat exhaustion. I've gotten some scholarships for grad school but not enough for a better laptop (or enough to live with a roommate other than that guy from Notting Hill). Winning this laptop would be fantastic!
I have a Sony Vaio right now that I have had for awhile and it is falling apart. I treat it well but I am left-handed. There is a hole (outlet, port, I don't know what to call it) right where my left hand rests to use the pad and as a result, a giant crack has developed going all the way up to the mousepad. Several other cracks have developed as a result of the LIGHT pressure of my left hand. I've tried glue and epoxy but nothing has worked. Now, screws are coming out of the case. My computer is of course made out of plastic. I now have had to put duct tape on it. The newer models of this computer, including this one, do not have the ports where my left hand rests which means no cracks. Also, the metal case of this computer would prevent cracking completely. If I won this computer I would give my older laptop to my right-handed mother to use since she only has a desktop and her right-handedness shouldn't cause any more problems.
With 15 hours of battery life I could strap the laptop to the back of my scooter with a few movies on queue, drive across the state, and keep people from getting mad that they're stuck behind someone who can only go 40 mph because they'll have plenty of entertainment.
I'll spend 15 hours reading The Windows Blog!
With 15 hours of battery I could develop something like a search engine in Visual Studio and maybe win the record to less time used to create a program :P
With that much battery life, I'd spend more time listening to the people I take care of...my kids and my customers, and take notes on what works best for them with the technology they have and need. Then, I'd bring that information back and put it all to use trying to make their lives better. And I wouldn't have to be bothered with searching for a wall outlet to charge up while working to help them. That's always a pain!
Would make a trip to Mexico City to the port of Veracruz road would pass through many towns and villages depicting the lifestyle in these places and would bring it up to my blog. It would take photos and edit it to make a collage and share with the world #15hoursbatt
With 15 hours of battery life, I would host the ultimate programming competition against my friends that already have longer batteries. It would consist of doing a geocaching type thing, where you use a GPS to go to an area where you get clues to figure out the goals of what to program.
I would go to one of the most quiet places and finish my college work, then hop online and do some gaming or meet up with some Facebook friends at this quiet area. With 15 hours of battery life Wireless and playing music while having fun would be awesome, because you wouldn't have to worry about plugging it in, it would naturally be Freedom. It's one of those items that you say, "If I was on an island alone I would bring..." well this computer.
fc04.deviantart.net/.../Deserted_Island_SE_by_nxxos.jpg
I would sit and edit photos until I was finished instead of living by my battery life.
WITH 15 LONG HOURS OF BATTERY LIFE I WOULD DO MANY THINGS... (IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER)
PLAY MY PS3 REMOTELY (ONLY SONY VAIO COMPUTERS CAN DO THIS)
STREAM MY RADIO SHOW ON USTREAM
PROCRASTINATE ON MY BLOGGING DUTIES (WITH EXTRA BATTERY LIFE I CAN AFFORD TO TAKE MY TIME)

If i put the laptop in power i will cut off power and use the laptop on the battery & use 15 hours to make a project or a program or learn a new subject in a field of my study (Computer Science <3 ) and take a rest in middle of 15 h :D
i love computer science :D :D :D
I would conquer Rome on Total War on my laptop...while flying to Rome. Then hide my laptop from customs in case they think i was planning it for real.
Be able to take a trip with out hearing are we there yet. Picture the kids in the back seat with headphones plugged into the laptops and peace and quite!! I might even be able to listen to a radio station I pick for a change!!!
Camping and hiking are my passions...Me and some of my friends have been going camping very often since we were 15. And sometimes we don't come back like two weeks:) If i would have a PC with the capability of 15 hours battery, i would really appreciate that during my long camping adventures.
I'm a kind of person who always enjoys the life, likes to joke around and make people laugh. With that reason if i had one of the 15 hours long battery PCs,in middle of the nigh on the mountain, i would creep them out with the noises like a bear roar or something comes from my laptop! ha ha, that would be really cool:) Joking apart, my biggest problem during this long camping days is having no computer.A PC is a vital need for anyone who lives in 21th century. My biggest wishes are that to climb to the Everest and to have a PC with a very long-time battery :)

If i had a 15hours battery life laptop, i could spend more time in the Tim Hortons restaurent, drinking coffees at night and develop application for the Windows Phone platform while listening to the oh so sweet silence and tranquility of being alone with myself, the moon and my inspiration. Note: English is not my native english, sorry for any mistake i didn'nt mean to destroy this language purposely. ;) Canada/Québec #15hoursbatt
Side note: i posted my feeling about this contest even tho i know it is open to US only, but hey, i could! Sad that Canada is rarely part of Microsoft contest. :( snif, the little dev inside me is crying.
I am a student lives in a small place in Asia which is very far away from the city. My house has been built on a mountain. The weather is always rainy and stormy here... Almost every night we have power failure because of severe storms and thunderbolt. Sometimes we don't have electrycity for even a week! Like every student, I have tons of homework to do and without a PC in my house, I'm dead! ( My teachers are really care about homeworks so...) Because of where I live, It is really hard to walk away to the library and do my homework. I've thought about buying a computer but because of the electricity problem, i didn't. So If I had a PC with 15 hours of battery life, that would be a dream come true! Oh my god, i can't even think about how awesome it could be... I would do my homework with 15 hours-battery-life PC and finally get better grades. And i could play games in the rainy nights without electricity and entertain myself! And you know, my little sister really loves to play Mario. When i had to go to the library to study, she comes with me and walks all the way to the library and plays computer while i am studying. It would be great for her too...
I've read some of the comments. Most of them were about people who dont want to plug in their computer and charge them while they can, because they don't really like cables. In my situation, i don't even have a plug with electricity to charge my computer! I think they should be thankful for their life, and just understand the importance of electricity., because i know what it is like to have no electricity, and a lot of homework to do.
Thanks.
I would drive up the coast to New Hampshire to Hampton Beach and stay till the sun sets!! Ahhh....
I would drive to school (2 hours), use their wireless for a day, drive home and then Skype with my friend studying abroad in England!
I would be able to bring my multitasking to the next level. I would--
1. Organize the Alumni Events at my University
2. Work on responding to all the emails at my job in the Admissions Office
3. Keep a running list of the things to do on my computer instead of on 1000 sticky notes
4. Kick butt in all of my Marketing classes with a fully functioning laptop
5. Keep in touch with all of my study abroad friends all over the country/world since my webcam only works when it feels like it
6. Watch 30 Rock and the Office on Hulu
All at the same time :)
If I had 15 hours of batery life, I would finailly be able to take my laptop into the field and actually be able to use it! I wouldnt have to find a power source in the middle of nowhere when i need to run a wolf howl through a mixer or look up where they are on the map. I could also use skype to show my family what they spent thousands of money to send me to college for. I bought a Dell that aparently had 6 hours of batery life but it really only has a hour and a half, when you are in the middle of nowhere, that is no help.
With 15 hours of battery life I would take my laptop everywhere without having to worry about plugging it in all the time. I could go outside and enjoy the day while doing homework for college.
I would load that awesome laptop into my husbands Expedition, along with a blanket and pillows. Then I'd hit I-4 and head to Anna Marie Island and spend the entire day on the beach watching all the Gossip Girl episodes on DVD! Now that's my idea of 15 hours of awesomeness!

16hours with a Vaio S.
Before i ever turn on the vaio or open the packaging I'd cry and rejoice for a full 30 minutes. First because its rare and uncommone to be blessed enough to win something and second because the laptop would be a much welcome change. Since my freshman year in college 6 years ago i've had the same laptop and its worked wonders for me and served its purpose but it's dying. While the computer itself still works the battery does not, so it has to be plugged in at all times. And a laptop without a working battery is like a bike without a chain. You can still use it, but you cant go anywhere.
After clearing my throat, whiping my eyes, and shouting for joy one last time i'd unplug the mouse, the web cam, log off, close the lid, then unplug the power chord and watch the flashing LED lights immediately fade to deep black.
Then I'd open the packaging of the Vaio S and place it on my desk where my old laptop was. Once its powered on I'd amuse myself and appease my need for closure by surfing youtube and finding some good "funeral" music for my old laptop. Green Day's "Good Riddance" would probably be the first song played. As happens to so many of us on youtube i'd get distracted clicking links to other videos and somehow end up watching a video of a python eating a crocodile. Thats a rare and amazing thing to be able to watch and for the first time in a very longtime, i'd pick up my laptop, take it down stairs and be able to share it with friends and family. I'd have to play it at least two or 3 times because my mom loves animal planet type stuff and she'd inevitably miss the first viewing because she was cooking or yelling or in the bathroom. Conversation would insue about whether the video is fake, other dangerous animals (My dad would bring up New York Rats...biggest creatures he's ever seen in person) and eventually turn to questions about what im going to do with my old laptop.
I'd then use bing to look up nearby places where i can recycle my old laptop as well as get on facebook and twitter and message that I got a new laptop and im taking bids if anyone wants the old one before i recycle it. A couple hours into use of my laptop and i'd been so eager to use it that i'd completely forgotten to make it my own and set it up to my liking. So i'd take the next hour to find a nice WallPaper and theme, install zune, photoshop, skype, and all other programs i use, as well as pin my favorite sites using IE9. I'd also have to load all my music from my external drive which would also take another hour or so. Once its all loaded i'd press shuffle on zune and jam out while i get into the grunt of my day; Packing for my trip to go back to College!
A full 6 hours later or so I'd be exhausted from packing up my room, moving boxes, loading my car, and cleaning. I'd be outta juice but my laptop wouldnt! So i'd put on a slow jam mix and drift to sleep for a power nap. 11 hours in and i'd be shocked that the battery is still going and the "warning low power" box hasn't flashed once. i'd spend the remaining 4 hours watching hulu, making sure all my classes and college requirements are in order, and searching bing for general news and ideas about technology. As the power warnings finally appear, I'd plug it in so thats ready to accompany on my 5 hour road trip to Walla Walla the next day :D

If I had a 15 hour battery life, the world would be daisies and butterflies. Literally. This year, I'm heading off to college and my life already revolves around my computer and the internet, and this would be even more so in college. I'll be taking notes ALL day in classes, checking email, updating social networks, watching my favorite shows (Modern Family anyone?) all thanks to my (hopefully) handy, dandy, 15 hour battery life courtesy of my trustworthy sidekick, Sony Vaio.
With 15 hours of battery life, I would be able to use it during my chemo. I have Leukemia
With a 15 hour battery, I would fly to Africa and shoot a documentary on world missions to Africa and the AIDS epidemic. Electric outlets are few and far between out there, and we would need an editing station! I would be in a place like this: www.flickr.com/.../445267544
if i had fifteen hours of battery life i would start an all day movie marathon on my laptop! not only would it be an all day movie marathon, but i would do it at the beach while soaking up the sun!
If I won a laptop with 15 hours of battery life, I would use it to skype with my best friend who just moved to Paris anywhere I went, along with taking it to my upcoming freshman year classes starting in August without worrying about my computer dying during class or dealing with cords or finding a plug!
What couldn't u do in 15 hours...I would go around the web and back!
I'm an 8th semester student who is busy working for the thesis. All I do everyday is sitting in the library in front of my notebook working on the thesis while going online. But all I need to do first whenever I get into the library is looking for a power plug because my old notebook's battery only last for 1 hour when fully charged. It's annoying sometimes, there are limited power plugs and I won't get my power plug if I come after 09.00 a.m because the library will full with people doing things online and they use all the power plug.
May be what I really need now is a new long life battery or a new long life notebook. If I get the notebook with up to 15 hours of battery life I will not worry about the power plug. I can come to the library anytime (as long as it's not closed :D) without worrying about the battery life. I will also enjoy to stay in the library all day long..:)
If only I will have that laptop by tomorrow (July 16th), then it wouldn't be too bad to hit the Carmageddon for my trip. It will just be a question of, will my provider trottle me for watching too match movie in that Sony VAIO.
I have a day job and work on an XNA game at night. I work on my game every possible second of the day (on the train to work, train back from work, at lunch, at errands, etc). If I had a laptop with a battery that lasted 15 hours, I would charge it at work and avoid the nightly charge (saving me some electricity money [wink] [wink]). Plus, I need my laptop to be available all day; I must code.
If I'd have a PC with 15 hours of battery life, I'd leave my charger at home and go to school with the comfort of having a PC which last longer than I can concentrate on studying.
If I had a PC with 15 hours of battery life I would head to to the mountains to write and catch up on movies.
if i have 15 hours of battery life, i would have to sit quietly in our University library and make articles concerning the most boggling issues worldwide........
@windows with a #15hoursbatt laptop, I would make it through 1/2 of a 30h call shift at the hospital. With two, I'd last all 30h.
I would take my laptop to all my classes, and take it with me around campus to show my family what it looks like. No more need to plug it in whenever I want to take notes in class or work in the library! I would be set for the entire day of studies.
Show it off to folks with Macs!!
I'd conduct interviews for my campus newspaper without having to sit near the inevitably awkwardly placed plug in the room. I'd multi-task (breakfast and blogging) in the campus dining hall without having to carry around a battery pack... And when all that quote chasing and multi-tasking gets too stressful I'd head to the shore to write some poetry, maybe with some iTunes favorites (Walking in Memphis, Portobello Road) playing in the background.
#15hoursbatt microsoft i need it for school its my senior year and i need to graduate if you could please help me out :)
If I had a laptop with 15 hrs of battery life, I would finally learn french!
Go to the beach with a cool summer breeze, and relax while doing the work I would normally do in my office.
As an entering freshman in college, I would use the 15 hours of battery life to fulfill everything I need to do for college life: typing notes/essays, recording lectures, skyping with the family, watching movies with friends, playing internet games, etc. I would not have to lug around a charger around campus in order to get my schedule done! Plus, I think it would be nice to update my old Sony VAIO to a new one. I'm a PC and I'm 18 :)
As a girl going into her first year of college, 15 hours battery life would be an absolute dream! Can you say powerhouse? I can picture it now - me being the ultimate do-it-all college girl - typing notes, skyping the family, facebooking, emailing, and doing some serious catching up on my favourite t.v shows! Oh, and not to mention I'd be doing all of that without being stuck in the old days of lugging around power cords. I mean, it's 2011... and I'm ready to join the upgraded world of long-living batteries!
If I had a 15 hour Laptop, I would program away from some scenic spot and catch up on chat using wi-fi :)
I'm 64 and would love to have a laptop with a 15 hour battery as I would finally be able to keep up with the new great niece, the email and webpages, too. This latest generation is nonstop. A #15hoursbatt. Whew.
15 hours of battery life would upgrade my idea of a laptop from a class disruptor/ word processor to an actual academic aid.
I don't think I've even seen a classroom with conveniently located outlets for each seat in the classroom. There are obvious advantages to using a laptop for note taking (and simultaneous lecture recording!), but it's not worth it to lug the thing to class in addition to one's backpack to possibly not even be able to use it.
But, if I had one.. I'd start using e-books, then I'd put whatever minimal amount of books available in paper-only in my laptop bag. I'd have everything I could possibly need for school (aside from a printer) in one place.. I can't help but to fantasize about that since I tend to spend the day on campus, a large portion of which is spent walking to and from classes.
Leave a comment. Now I see it everywhere I look. Previously, I looked allover and couldn't find one! Was hunting then for the #15hoursbatt.
If I had 15 hours battery life, I would be able to write my epic novel/or maybe just surf the internet while hanging out at various cafes around town or on vacation. Finding a plug at a coffee shop can be a pain and also just a little awkward. It would be nice to not have to worry about needing to plug in the laptop. When I bought my laptop, I foolishly didn't consider the battery life. I think I get something like 1.5 hours which I have found to be a nuisance.
If my PC had 15 hours of battery life I could disconnect from an outlet and go anywhere I wanted to work and play. But to be in a relaxing atmosphere, coding, with zero interruptions, the soft sounds of cool breeze, the occasional bird chirping or crickets at night. I could code for 15 hours without the distraction and worry in the back of my mind that my battery may die before I finish and I need to go find an outlet...
fly up to my favorite place in the world - NYC and hang out surfing the web and people watching in Central Park until my batter life was up
With 15 hours of battery life, or a laptop for that matter (I've never owned a laptop), I would finally be able to blog from home again instead of working at the local library or friends' houses. It would be nice to stop bugging friends and family to use their computers so I can get my work done!
I'd also be able to travel and continue working on my site, share the beautiful sites my state has to offer to my fans and finally get out from living under this rock I've been residing under for some time now!
I would kill for 15 hours of battery life...Right now my battery is toast, so I have 5 minutes!! I'd love to be able to wander around my house with my laptop!
With 15 hours of battery life I will play games, chat with my friends and do homework! it's simply awesome!
I couldn't begin to think what I could do with a 15 hour battery life. Some things that I could begin to think would be able to wake up in the morning before class, check email and facebook. I would be able to then ride the bus to class and read up on the last to minute notes for class, then be able to sit and take notes in class where with any other laptop I would be looking for an outlet by now. Lunch time I could eat and catch up with my latest TV shows only to go to work and have the laptop open as an additional screen. Get back home and play some games with friends online and update facebook saying how much I love the new battery life of my new computer!
If my PC had 15 hours of battery life, I would be able to go to my classes, and instead of spending the time in between cooped up in my dorm room until my laptop had a full charge, I would be able to spend that time lounging on the quad with my friends and my beautiful brand new Sony VAIO. A perfect day.
If I had 15 hours of battery life, I would rush out of my apartment early in the morning to head off to class and not working about packing a power cord to power me through the rest of the day. I would have no qualms about whipping out my laptop during my classes, during meals, and during short breaks, which will maximize my productivity. And I won't have to worry about when I would be able to rush back to my apartment to pick up my forgotten power cord in the middle of the day. Having a laptop with such a long battery life is perfect for college students!
If I had 15 hours of battery life, I would go to all my college classes with my laptop (and thankfully, without my charger cable!), and then I'd go sit under a tree in the park working on my papers. On vacation, I'd just sit at the beach all day soaking up the sun while (if there's wifi) surfing the internet.
