We know you have a lot of questions and ideas about Windows 7, Windows 7 PCs, Windows Live and more. We see the comments in the blog posts, via tweets and in our day to day conversations with people all around the world. So, we thought: “Why not give people a time to talk with us directly?” We want to answer all your questions, share knowledge that might not make it into a blog posts and share anecdotal stories that show a little behind the scenes glimpse into our life. Do you know the voice behind @Windows is a tried and true New Yorker? Or that @benthepcguy is trained in Krav Maga? While these things seem trivial, they provide a glimpse into how we see the world of PCs and we think the more we share, the more you’ll learn. So, here’s what’s going to happen.
Live Twitter Chats
Live Twitter chats with Windows will start tomorrow on July 12th and happen every Tuesday for an indefinite amount of time. Each week we will have a topic and spend 1 hour answering your questions. You’ll be able to address topics to @benthepcguy, @brandonleblanc, @kristinalibby, @windows, and @windowsblog. Of course, we may punt the question off to whoever knows the best answer, so pay attention for tweets, RTs, and DMs.
To get involved, join us tomorrow from 12pm- 1pm PT. That’s 3pm-4pm ET for those on the opposite coast. Use the hashtag #win7tech, bring some great questions and see what we are planning to talk about. This week’s talk is about “Back to School PCs” and will feature some of our favorites, some you might have never seen and we’ll answer your buying questions. In the meantime, leave some questions in the comments below and we will answer those first during the chat.
Note we will only be talking about the outlined topic each week and we will not be answering questions outside those topics. Questions for this week may including: what’s the best PC for a fashion-savvy English studies major, what’s the best gaming pc for my freshman son or what are secrets to note-taking during class?
Can't wait. I'm going to become a grad student this fall. Need to find a new computer and want a Windows Phone too. I have a very slow Windows 7 I machine upgraded from Vista, would you suggest sticking with it a little longer and getting Windows 8? Or should I get a new computer now?
Kristina have you seen this? Some guy made a Windows Phone 7 CV/Resume/Portoflio website in HTML5! It is actually really really impressive!

@iwantwindowspc-- that is awesome. Thanks for sharing!
That's great but I reckon you cannot solve the problems I am having with Windows 7.
Great thought to start this type of event, it would help people to overcome their doubts including me :)
Thanks @sohambanker-- hope you attend and ask questions!
@7flavor-- we'll do our best to try!
Why have you changed the time? I think I read 11am-12pm or am I wrong? :d
@michael volf-- typo before! Hope the time change didn't mess up your schedule!
I totally missed this twitter thing and I had this page left open last night too! Next week i guess.:(
Anyways, that resume in the first comment is AMAZING. Just a quick search and he was just put on Business Insider too! I found a large thread on reddit about this www.reddit.com/.../reddit_i_just_made_a_windows_phone_7_styled
It says he was not given a job at Microsoft. If I were him, your hiring team guys should get to him before Apple or someone else does and gives him a job.
My resume now looks pitiful.... And he's still in college.
