I wanted to take a brief moment and highlight a post by Windows Engineering Team today discussing just some of the more visible changes coming with the Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) based directly off feedback from *you*. You should definitely give the post a read if you haven’t already.
Yesterday, Steven Sinofsky posted about the amazing amount of feedback we’ve received since the release of the Windows 7 Beta and how the Windows Engineering Team is digesting that feedback to raise the level of quality of Windows 7.
Yes Brandon, had already read it. It's great that the Windows 7 bods are taking so much notice of users feedback. Really pleases this user.
I certainly don't envy how much feedback you guys have to distil into the end product ;)
My personal favorite change is not having to get QuickTime in order to view a .mov file anymore. w00t!
Skip all this yackin'
Whar's my copy of RC1?
I don't want to go back to anything else!
@dehnger2u /agree!
This is awesome! Now announce the release date of RC1 :) Kthnxbai.
Never noticed that you don't need quicktime to view a *.mov file. Most of my movies are *.avi, *.mpg or *.wmv files, quicktime is something I try to avoid so that's good news if true, one less program to install.
Great that RC is so close :-)
The proposed changes to the "Taskbar scaling" in RC1 seem like a step in the right direction, guess the feedback is actually leading to product improvements. Which is great news.

Can't wait for the RC to be released, I'm considering installing it at home, since the beta got so many good review about being stable.
Definately looking forward to the RC of Windows 7, So far i have found the beta to be about as stable and reliable as XP, certainly I've only been back in xp about 5 times since the beta went public in January. Unfortunately due to TAGES copyright protection the couple of games that i'm really wanting to test to see how they run won't work, so am having to wait until they resolve that, but so far pretty much every game i own, if it runs under XP it seems to run smoother under Windows 7 I would say ive only tested about 50 games fully so far so still have several hundred to go.

I am liking windows 7 right now I give it 10/10 when is the RC date and do the beta testers get a copy????
so far I haven't had any huge problems. Security has been great. Please keep me posted on the release date!!!!!!!It is better than XP. From what I hear Windows 7 is more stable than vista. I didn't have vista I had XP pro SP2.
