One of the coolest things about Internet Explorer 9 (free download here!) is certainly the integration into Windows 7. And site pinning is the feature that pops to the top for most users.
If you haven’t seen it, site pinning is the ability to make your favorite sites just one click away by dragging their tab or address bar favicon to your Windows 7 taskbar. As we’ve highlighted in other past blog posts, once pinned a site can show off more features like custom jump lists and taskbar notifications.
What this really means is anyone can build a Windows 7 taskbar to match their passion on the web!
To celebrate you great site pinners out there, and to show more people the magic of site pinning, we’re holding a little sweepstakes on our Facebook fan page – Pin it. Win it!
Just pick from 20 popular sites optimized for Internet Explorer 9 and build your dream taskbar. Complete the sweepstakes entry and be entered to win one of four great prize packages worth $9,000 each focused on four different passions – shopping, music, travel, and entertainment! (US residents only for the sweepstakes)
· Shopping Getaway: Love shopping sites like Gilt and eBay? Win an all-expenses-paid VIP shopping trip to New York City.
· Entertainment package: Spend a lot of time on Flixster and Rotten Tomatoes? Win a trip for two to a Los Angeles Hollywood movie premier.
· Travel package: Search for travel deals on Bing and Kayak? Win a 7-day cruise for two.

The sweepstakes is open now and ends November 2. (Get the official rules and FAQ’s)
And if you haven’t joined our Facebook community yet we’d love to have you there – much more cool stuff coming up in the next couple of months. Stay tuned!
@Scott Armstrong, a little off-topic but can you ask the dev guys to make quick-tabs (Ctrl+Q) feature enable by default? Everyone would love it to see all the tabs in one place. Its cool feature. Please promote it and enable it by default! Also, if by any chance they show some memory/CPU usage in that quick-tabs view it would be awesome.
Moreover, please provide us with a "Create Download" button in download manager, so the user can enlist the download by manually entering the URL to save a file, resource or the entire webpage within the download manager.
Sometimes, we receive links to download files as a plain-text email. Supposedly, the file type is PDF or some other which launches inside the bowsers via corresponding add-on, and our intent is to download the file in that scenario, we would have to wait for the file to load completely then it can be saved. There must be number of other scenarios as well, which may require an option to manually enter the URL in download manager.
Also, introduce the paste shortcut Ctrl+V in download manager for a single entry and Ctrl+Shift+V for batch entries.
Thank you :-)
Oh geez. I was just watching a show on LogoTV and their system was all messed up. Once a commecial came it just played all the commecials and they were all these Bing ones. I had to refresh every commercial break and watch one. I do love the torch chick, I laughed every time, even though it was on mute.
IE9 still lacks proper user-friendly features. Spell-checker should be a given (I know this is coming system-wide in Windows 8).
You should be able highlight a (non-hyperlinked) url, right-click it, and there be an option to go to it. Dragging to the tab area seems to only work when it wants to.
There are too many irrelevant options in the context menu. The extentions platform I won't even go into. The new download manager is very wacky, being dependant to individual windows and all.
And lately IE9 has been forgetting to keep me logged in on sites, and I have to type passwords multiple times a day. It's very annoying.

Especially when it your Windoes Live login.
@WixosTrix, I had a same problem on my brother's machine. This happens when you click no for the first time when passwords save notification appear. The way around is to reset the IE settings (Internet options>Advanced>Reset) and restart IE. There must be some settings to bring back the password save notification once you dismissed it. There must be a better password management like
