Hi, i have a little question about Windows Vista.

I'm looking for a feature that can enable me doing swap while copy/paste.

It is a VERY useful feature and i'm sure many people need it and will be very glad to use it.

If i want to swap between two text areas i want to do the following:

1. Copy the first text (Ctrl-C)

2. Select the second text

3. Do Swap (let's say Ctrl-B) so that the Clipboard and the selected second text will be swapped.

4. then i just paste the text on first text (Ctrl-V)

this is instead of paste the first text near the second (so i would not erase it) and cut the second text, etc..

which is take more of my time..:)

I think it is a VERY basic feature that should come with windows, and it is very strange to me that no one from the Windows Team developers didn't think of implementing it.

If there is such a feature i taking my words back, and i will be glad to know how to use it.

Hope to get some respone from the windows team.

If you think that there is more appropriate place to post this question so that it will get to the right people please let me know.

Thank you very much :)

That would also force them into the myriad of problems that Microsoft must face with developing their operating systems. It would be something I'd love to see, real competition for the general masses but even though Apple is good I don't think they could take the Crown, it would be interesting fight though...

I running Windows Vista Business SP 1 on a AMD 64 4800 Dual Coer PC with Cosair XMS 2 800mhz 3 GIG memory with a NVIDA 8600 GT 1GIG

I work with XP all day and suffer through freezing and poor network performance. I work in IT so I can tell you honestly Vista is superior to XP.

Problem is idiots think they can continue to run legacy software and hardware on a new OS. Look folks when Window 2000 came out people were mad that they could not use there 3.11 pc anymore. The same goes with Vista time to move on the PC this is a good OS and please about Linux well I have used Ubuntu and it destroys hard drives look at their bug report they are still having problems with power management.

So folks give a Vista a chance.

Some people complain about an avalanche of bugs, but most of them cannot name just one bug; they just parrot what they heard to look smart and "in". Those who can name specific bugs, either mention minor stuff or refer to questionable benchmarks. Give me a break.

IE they get paid to preload tons of useless apps to offset the $50 or whatever price.

I don't think your average Windows user would gain $50 or whatever those bundled Windows' cost for switching to Linux (maybe the street prices of $200-$400 would be different) but Linux is getting better at the whole "just works" thing. Might change.

kristin is on crack - Vista is a superior product to XP on every level. sure when it came out there were problems, but look at internet history the same problems came up when xp was released. The difference now is that the Internet is used everywhere so everyone is reading the hype and xp is a solid operating system so there is less incentive to move.

Anyhow I use vista 64bit on one of my desktops and one of my laptops - my other desktop and other laptop have xp. I'm much happier working on Vista and I'm a power user.

Multiple programs (photoshop CS3, Illustrator CS3, word, publisher) streaming radio and more at the same time. Vista kicks butt.
