Actually it looks like CES is going to be really interesting with the BlueRay vs HD DVD format wars about to peak!

Hopefully the end user will be the winner in all this as prices drop on both formats, or who knows maybe streaming video will win out.

Wow, I really need to start a Blog, I’m more of Forum/Blog drifter though...my life is not nearly as glamorous or as the fun as a Blogger, my you all are going to have lots of fun at CES.

Gates to Announce DVR 360 at CES?

I guess I just dream of the 360 being in every living room, my parents living room, my in laws room etc... Then bring on the Entertainment, services etc and start a revolution. The one I've been dreaming of messaging, Internet, gaming, music, movies, DVR, Productivity and everything else in my living room, easily accessible at my convenience.

That said I’m sure that something more surprising will come up at CES. The only thing that’s really blown me away lately is this guys site:

Sure the guy reminds me of Hiro from NBCs Heroes, but he sure knows his stuff. The head tracking video just needs to be seen to be believed, the amazing thing is that the Wii is nowhere near as powerful as the 360, but that head tracking feature would just great for a Halo game. Infact it really just the Wii-mote that enables all this cool stuff when connected to a Windows PC, and the Wii-mote is really just a cheap camera that tracks infrared light. Great stuff.

The Low-Cost Multi-point Interactive Whiteboards video is also really cool idea, and really makes me believe that the natural user interfaces that Bill Gates talked about in the latest edition of PC Magazine is comming sooner than we think.

Bill Gates also talked about how computing advances will also come to health care soon to in the latest issue of PC Magazine, but he didn't elaborate much. Which is a shame as there is probably so much health information out their today that just isn't either being captured or organised, or captured into systems that are compatible with each other. All that information that could see patterns, that could save lives, info that could be available for research on. Health could be improved vastly with technology improvements.

The PC really has so, so much potential is just waiting to be tapped. CES here we come, good luck Nick, Brandon and crew and have fun!
