Same here. Had to format my hard-drive and reinstall everything. When it came to WLinstaller.exe - everything was smooth until it reached 99% after which it was stuck there for abt 20mins & then said it failed to install.

Yes, it stops at %99 when downloading Messenger. I am really mad. I really want to get on MSN but I cant. Any1 fix this? I turned off my firewall. And I only have Dial-Up

Same problem here. We use WLM for messaging in our office and several PCs continually fail on the install process. Stalling at 99% has happened a few times. Why a resume process for installs can't be done in this day and age seems ridiculous to me. It is such a basic thing to do.

There needs to be an offline installation... we shouldn't need to download the application 20 times for 20 PCs on the same network.

I dont have a high speed connection either, the installer quit before the end 3 times. In the end I used a download manager but it didnt update the existing apps it installed new ones so now I have two of them. Why does microsoft insist on providing installers for everything a simple .exe file to download and run is all it takes, these damn installers have a habit of screwing up. Yahoo messenger is another one that does this its so frustrating.

Bad new for me. I haven't a high-speed internet conncetion, and I think it's causing my problem. After having run the unified Windows Live Installer, and after the download begins, it STOPS at 99%. Any ideas?

Why didnt windows live just update the existing applications, I know have the original vista version and the live version of photo gallery, mail and messenger. I dont realy want two of everything on my computer especially when the original vista versions have no uninstaller.

How can I check my hotmail account using windows vista. My new Laptop won't let me load msn websites, including my hotmail account!

I heard the good news about the release. x64 support super!

But I was disappointed. There is STILL no x64 support for Family Safety. x64 users still have kids......

I realise the family safety component is probably the most intrusive, but it has been a year since Vista was released, and I had the impression x64 would at least be treated equally by Microsoft.

So what IS the future of x64? Why isn't it treated equally by MS?

Where can I find the offline Windows Live installer? Also, where can I find the stand-alone installer for Photo Gallery? I never understood the online installation method. It just adds more work for me to find the offline version. I want the install files available to me for installation elsewhere.

Hi! I've installed WLM (Desktop). I only see this pop-up "please wait while windows configures windows live mail", it closes after a while... and... nothing happens! WLM won't start!... I have installed Vista 32bits.

Please if you know how to resolve this... tell me... thank you.

Windows Live Photo Gallery is no good. It doesn't come up to Microsoft standards. Full screen mode actually changes the physical screen resolution! Incredible! Ridiculous! And the images are not actually scaled to be full screen. Even WMP is much better as an image viewer.

ok, ive got a question, ive just gotten Windows Vista, however i am unable to access pages such as Hotmail, bebo, certain pages on ebay etc. just wondering if theres any help manuals out there that could help me out!
