C:\Program Files\NameOfApp\Data\datafile.mdb

I like what I have seen so far. The features are great and intuitive. However, the program is still horribly slow. Why does it take upwards of 4 hours to tune up a laptop with a 60GB drive?

Having participated in the v1 OC Beta, I have now installed the v2 Beta.

Most works OK for me - except the "Remove Unnecessay files" . . .

While many of us have posted a Problem report re this on the OC forum, have others within the FC team (or on this blog) seen similar problems ?

beltwaybob, to access the Startup Optimizer in Windows Live OneCare 2.0 beta - go to OneCare settings and the Tune-up tab and you'll see a button at the bottom of the window to "change startup settings". This is where you can access OneCare's new optimizer for startup apps etc.

Wow. Some sort of good news.

Except for the fact, correct me if I'm wrong, that

1) Onecare is commercial. Why isn't the boot time optimizer free, or say, included as one of the mythical Vista Ultimate extras? Or doesn't that component work under Vista?

2) It's not a Vista product

3) OneCare sounds remarkably like 'wanker'. Microsoft were told about this repeatedly and still released the product..
