I really liked the new look & feel. For the first week or so everything seemed fine, but then several error messages kept popping up and which HP support kept trying to solve. Eventually the entire machine was "shut down", all icons were disabled. My wife was so frustrated over the last two weeks. Finally, HP advised that I go back to XP. (This was after approximately 20 hours on the phone working through various support issues, finally making it their most critical support organization. Fortunately, XP is working fine, but unfortunately my wife seems forever lost as she was upset with the amount of time I had to spend. A couple of things I will mention that may have helped cause the problem. I am still on Office 2002 so we had attempted to use Outlook. We were told that wasn't compatible, so we tried using Windows mail. I was successuful in downloading my contacts, etc., but I have to say it did not work well, there were delays with sends / receives and persistent issues with it "hanging" and having to ctrl/alt/Del to get out of it. I did have Norton Antivirus' new version installed so do not believe that this was a virus issue; the HP Senior support agreed. I wish it would have worked, but it actually completely crashed my machine, I had data loss, which created marital friction, so there you have it. I spent nearly $1000 on this new HP with 19' Samsugn monitor and new printer, dual core AMD processor, 1 gig RAM etc., so I figured it was plenty of machine. Feel free to call me if you would like to discuss. Initial reaction was positive, but the product did not perform.

Best of Luck,
