PLEASE help. I don't know where to leave a message at but I have Windows Vista and it has been working fine for the last 3 months but all of a sudden the desktop background is just a solid color. I have gone through Control and changed it that way and it doesn't change, I have changed it from the desktop itself and it wont change their either. Any suggestions? My email addy is: owensville_gang@hotmail.com. Sorry this is such a small problem but for me it is really aggravating. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Nick,

Wanted to say hi, i`m new with MS as well and i`m glad to see all the great news on this blog.

I also installed the search++. It crashed on me the first time of use.. but now works. Also i`m glad to see google as a predefined command. The idea is genius. It's similar to Firefox's keywords that you can assign to bookmarks. I do hope a similar implamantation in IE7

Honestly, I can't see how you can be so excited about this feature, like it was something new and great. My first thought was: "finally". Don't take this as an another anti Vista comment, but for me this just seems to be yet another feature that has been available and in use in other non-mainstream OS:s for ages!

Hey that Office Communications stuff you guys are comming out with sounds really useful, I can even imagine using it at work. Im talking about Office Communications Server 2007 and Office Communicator 2007. Do you guys have any more info on this, so far all I found is this

I like this tool if only for the "sudo" command, although it doesn't work with cmd.exe internal commands. :(

Anyways it seems to not work properly if explorer is restarted until you reboot. :( Maybe it was just a fluke; not sure.

Start++ is a great addition to Vista's Search functionality

Brandon has made several updates to Start++ since it came out, so mentioning it now is just as good as mentioning it then. Looks like he has some more updates up his sleeve too.
