Apparently Vista was selling well with the free 512mb Memory + OneCare bundle free with vista. They were all out of Bill Gates edition and one other edition when I went to my local store!

I downloaded a copy of RC1, details of which I can provide later. I spent some time on the phone trying to get these details to you. However, I ran out of time as I got past from switchboard to switchboard.

I tested the release at home in a VM, and then I've built a machine at work, and tried two Nic cards.

Any time we plug this in, its crashing our test switch. The switch type is a widely used HP model HP 4108GL

Therefore, if its of interest to your team, you have my email, I'd like to pass on the details, so people are aware. You may well have fixed or seen the problem already, and if so, no problem.

Kind Regards

Darren

Then after launch, they can buy a key online.

Then there was the watch-three-webcasts offer and a few other offers which seemed to be *designed* to reduce the buzz on launch day. (Or maybe that's just with hindsight...)

OEM means it can be installed on one PC ever. You cannot say, give it to a friend to use on his/her PC and you not use it on yours. You cannot sell it off. With a retail copy, if you get a new PC you can move it over to the new PC. OEM you cannot.

You seem abit confused. Its no different then with XP (wich only allowes you to install windows vista on one mashean per Key). Now you can get away with installing it on more than one about 2 but 3 may be stretching it. Thats the same with XP. Most people though just buy it with the computer wich in that case then its only designated to that one system.

ALso vista retail is it true you can install on more then one pc as long as you remove it from the other pc before installing on another? sorry for posting here but i need a answer -_-
