Vista Business is comparable to XP Pro, just as Home Premium is comparable to XP MCE. Vista Ultimate is a combination of both.

I have my doubts about that reply, because whereas I could get XP Pro for about €350 last year, I'm paying €550 for Vista Ultimate now. That's some super-fast inflation. Then again, it could depend on which version of Vista could be considered comparable to XP Pro. Obviously, the less complete versions are cheaper.

Anyway, thanks again for the effort, and for getting back to us about that.

Oh boy, an exclusive invitation to buy Vista! I feel so special!

Sorry, but what's the big deal here? Just a bunch of hype. I've ordered my copies of Vista online, although I had hoped to get a free copy, or a discount, or something for all those bug reports I filled out testing the betas. Oh well. . .

That was last week. I'm sure he'll be able to get back to us soon. Meanwhile, my local Microsoft office has been less than responsive to my contacting them. They -really- don't seem to care.

Anyway, I'd also like a definite answer to the questions posted above. Will we be able to simply buy the US version (and possibly download a localised MUI)?
