This will insure that companies won’t simply throw something out to the unsuspecting consumer without the vigorous testing, validating, and retesting for compatibility with Windows Vista. This was a very hard lesson for Microsoft trying to be everything and all things to everyone: It’s about time companies now will be required to meet Microsoft’s newly elevated high standards for software reliability and compatibility with Windows Vista.

The stakes are very high for Windows Vista. Microsoft is right to now raise the bar tenfold!

I can see the "apple" is getting nice and juicy by the day. (Joke!)
