I tried out the Vista Betas and Release Candidate 2, I have no clue as to what all of the rest of these people commenting are up to or which operating system they were using but I did not like it. I saw absolutely no advantages to using Vista over XP, furthermore the now further constricting EULA expected with the new OS is intolerable. A blog to keep developers and users in contact is hardly the kind of interaction necessary for an Operating System to be so great as to warrant all of these praises I see in these comments, or even a start in the right direction. I think that, if Microsoft hopes to survive in the future they need to stop censoring real debate (no. 1) and realize that to make money in the software market you needn't lock up and black box the frame by which the system runs (no. 2).
