Extending Windows: Ford Sync demo from CES

While at CES last week, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Velle Kolde, Senior Product Manager for Microsoft Auto, to view a demo of Ford Sync.  I left our chat very impressed.  Ford Sync, like many of the products being developed by Microsoft Automotive, are perfect examples of how we're extending the Windows platform (Windows CE 5.0, in this case) beyond the desktop to arenas outside the domain of typical computing.  Check out this video demo to learn more.

    luv the sync in my Ford Focus.  However, the OS will not index the podcast folder.  I'm fairly convinced the problem is with the OS and the way it reads podcasts metadata and RSS files.  It should see the podcast files as .mp3 as it does all the other files on the Ipod.  The workaronud to avoid displaying the OS "bad data" error is to start playing the podcast on the Ipod, before you plug it into the cars USB interface. Then you can listen to that file, but you cannot advance to the next podcast in the folder or view the folder.  

    Nick, Any ideas, or is this a known/unknown bug, which should be cured in an upcoming S/W release?
