Windows Vista Gadgets Competition on Code Project - final results

Last month we posted an update to the Windows Vista Gadgets Competition on Code Project.  Now that the competition is complete, the team behind it would like to thank everyone who entered.  The goal of the contest was to deliver 20 quality Sidebar Gadgets; we surpassed our goal considerably with a total of 29 gadget entries.  The source code for the top 10 gadgets was downloaded by about 159,000 developers.

An Honorable Mention was earned by A Virtual Earth slide show Gadget for Windows Vista.

    Many thanks Nick for your "Honorable mention" for my Gadget on Virtual Earth.

    I was slightly disappointed not to be in the winners. Your encouragments are great !

    I wish MS would offer a more powerful SDK/IDE for developing gadgets and something for end-users to quickly create gadgets from web pages like Apple will be doing. MS doesn't seem to be serious about Sidebar as a platform, it looks like a "me too" effort.
