New Mobile PC development webcast series

Our development team has put together a series of webcasts starting Monday 2nd April and continuing weekly through June.  These online-only Live Meetings are mainly for the developer crowd who's currently (or looking to be) building applications that run on mobile PCs.  Topics center on getting the most out of Windows Vista's mobility features, running the gamut from creating SideShow Gadgets to ink-enabling an application to creating applications that are network- and battery-aware.

You can join any of these webcasts by just clicking on the title link no later than 15 minutes before the event begins on the day of the event.  If you happen to miss one, each webcast will be recorded and posted here as well, where you'll also find an archive of previously recorded sessions -- if you don't want to wait!

    Hi, panther,

The background for this blog is a custom skin created for the blog, but there's a wallpaper included in Windows Vista that has the same image as the one at the top of the blog. Right click your desktop, select personalize, then Desktop Background. Make sure that the window shows "Windows Wallpaper" then scroll down to "Vistas" and you'll see it there.

As for deleting a file, it would depend on the file.  Have your tried deleting it using the administrator mode (right click/run as administrator)?  Some spyware or other malware will not let you delete certain files that they've added.

If we had a bit more detail, we could probably help you more.

I just purchased a new laptop with Vista and absolutely cannot setup my Samsung Blackjack running WM5 with WMDC.I also have a Cingular 8125 that works just fine with WMDC. I've tried everything but just can't seem to identify the issue. Does anyone have advice or a fix?

Be sure that your firewall doesn't block transcrypting communication! Just turn off firewall and try to setup your Blackjack!
