Congrats to all at Microsoft for a great product.

Is there any chance Beta Testers will get a complimentary copy as happened with XP?

  7. Posted on: November 08, 2006 at 3:12PM

The UAC team posted their RTM announcement at http://blogs.msdn.com/uac/

  8. Posted on: November 08, 2006 at 3:26PM

I hope beta testers don't automatically get a free copy, I know several, and most of them can't be bothered with bug reporting, yet myself who got this via CTP, submitted hundreds.

Free copies should be based on the number and quality of bug reports..

Congratulations to the Vista Team and its leaders.  Its been a LOOOONNNNNGGGGGG road and I am sure you are looking across a beautiful vista dreaming of sleep...

Amid the joy of the occasion, we must also say goodbye to an Architect of grand visions.  As a veteran and in the tradition of the U.S. Navy, "May you have fair winds and following seas"
