I've just started using Sync, here's a good feature you could add in.

I'm using it for my pictures and videos, sharing them with my family. My process for organizing my photos consists of 2 steps. The first I create a directory called for example "2009 05 01 dumped from camera". Later I create new folders and move those pictures into my new folders.

The problem I'm finding is that even though I'm only moving the pictures, Sync is re-transmitting the entire image, instead of telling the other sync sites to move their copy of the image they already have. That creates unnecessary transmissions.

gr1145, I use FolderShare today and will use Windows Live Sync when its released for PC-to-PC sync over the internet for files and folders.

Windows Live Skydrive is online storage for files and photos. I use this file sharing photos and files with friends and family. But I tend to use Windows Live Sync to make sure I have all my important files on all my PCs.

Live Mesh is a platform being developed and currently is in Beta. Live Mesh is still under active development (thus it being in Beta).

Currently - we're going to be shipping non-Beta products and services for Windows Live designed for consumers for everyday use including Windows Live Sync.
