I was really hoping to hear about sync options to my Windows Mobile. Windows Live is pretty much useless to me and millions of sales people without synchronizing where we do work the most - away from our computers.

The iCal sync and Print Views are pretty sweet, but the rest are just windows-dressing features that don't increase my productivity one bit. I find it hilarious that the ability to change calendar colors is being touted as a great new features. That's what most companies wouldn't even mention in their sales brochures. Is Microsoft that desperate to find positive points in their products nowadays?

A desktop offering that integrates tasks, appointments, notes, reminders and printable calendars would be such a super hit with a lots of users who cannot afford Outlook or find it a bit advanced for their needs. Also, synchronization with Windows Mobile would be great. So many times I've seen everyone demand a desktop calendar. I hope MS listens to us. :)

It'd be also awesome if they could include a countdown panel, where you can add countdown clocks for a special day/event. The panel could include a "live" countdown of how much longer it would take for the day/event to finally come.

They could also make a site where users can share Live Calendars or subscribe to them. And maybe a way to search for public events happening in the area, so you can add them to your calendar.

Also a widget/gadget would be nice too. I could find the day's events on the sidebar, or share my month's view with people on Live Spaces. It could just display the month at the top, with day squares, and square that have color(s) indicate a type of calendar, and you can hover over it to see the event and add it.

I'm glad the Calendar team has finally done something.
