Hi Brandon,

I finally found this "No. Unlimited installation and compatibility support is available at no charge until March 18, 2009. " as an answer to "Does contacting Microsoft Help & Support cost me anything?"

My question is how do I contact support? My home PC is virtually knocked down since I did my installation yesterday. Is there a dial-in number? I can't seem to easily find one.

The answer, now that I found a computer that I know has SP1, is that it says "Service Pack 1" bigger than life on the My Computer/Properties/General tab, as I sort of expected, but now I've got to work through why my new laptop is not being offered SP1 via Windows Update.

Here's a question I'd like to see answered in your FAQ: How do you tell if your Vista box already has SP1 on it? I just bought a new laptop that was an "open box buy", and I don't know how to tell if it has SP1 on it or not. And I have spent a good bit of time trying to find the answer.

Thanks for the link to the device drivers list. I found the updated driver and SP1 installed this evening. I might add that I have only had the computer for a week and this site is helping become familiar with Vista quickly.

It works very well at my PC.

Two questions left:

When will the multi-langualpack for Ultimate be available again.

How to become,or create,a Vista install DVD for repairing a working and already updated instalation.

For the rest:SP1 was a great job!
