Windows Mobile Sure is pretty, the user interface people sure do a good job at beautifying everything, makes me kinda excited for the future of the portable device market. Together with the portable power of Intels New Atom range of chips, phones are going to get way more powerful and desktop like very soon.

Heck in a couple of years your phone may be your primary computer. Your phone could be physically designed to have a mouse like mode, or have a touch screen that could be used as a mouse, or have gyroscope in it to sense motion... and it could easily connect wirelessly to your 1080i HD screen or whatever floats your boat for a display.

If the Economy wasn't about to hit a brick wall, I'ld have confidence that technology would march quickly forward but a recession kinda slows down sales, so maybe all this new cool phone stuff will just get cheaper before it gets faster and more cool.

Is there any way I can install Windows Mobile 6.1 on my Samsumg BlackJack (version 1)? Like is there any way to get it working somehow? I know that it wasn't listed, but I would really love to install Windows Mobile 6.1. I would really appreciate any help.

All,

As stated in the above post - the Windows Mobile Team Blog has a list of devices and carriers that will get upgrades to Windows Mobile 6.1.

There is no need to ask me about specific phones or whether they will get upgrades - the list on their Team Blog is what has been announced. If your phone is not on that list - then nothing has been announced in regards to getting a upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.1.

Kit, I will see about getting some shots of the IE Browsing experience online today.
