2 things

1) Shell Integration Please! being forced to use a browser for a 'Drive' is.. well, no.

2) 50MB file size limitation. Maybe a little bigger since its now 25GB

Other then that, good stuff, though still using dropbox for the desktop client.

Just to let you know, Apple has had their iDisk feature with .Mac long before SkyDrive.

I haven't noticed bad upload speeds myself - where are you located?

There isn't a way to move files between folders in Windows Live SkyDrive just yet - however the SkyDrive Team is watching the comments on this post so I'll be sure they see your feedback on this.

And yes - files in shared folders can be shared with only folks who have Windows Live ID's. That is how permissions are set and that is how folks login to the site to access the shares.

However you can make folders public too.

Nick and I use SkyDrive to share files such as Word Documents and Excel spreadsheets all the time and its worked out well.

I logged in to check it out. Nice and simple.

A few points I noticed -

1) The upload was much slower as compared to normal upload to web. A simple file took almost double the time.

2) Although I did not spend too much time on it today, I could not find a way to move files betweeb folder. I mean I would live to shift files from private to shared to public as and when needed. Maybe I would look for methods..

3) Would the files in the shared folders be avaiable to only those who have a Live ID?

Still thinking - If I have to put my work docs onto it for sharing with coworkers.. not sure..

also we in Italy have been a lot often discarded, this time we have been fortunate to having the service between first.therefore it tries not to be gross and you know to attend

Brandon, while I applaud tis, I cannot help but see that no African languages are supported.

Is this a joke?

1 billion Africans are forced to SkyDrive in foreign languages?

Please say it ain't so, and that the SkyDrive team is working on it!

Are there currently any plans to make this service as a mountable drive in Windows Explorer? I can see some great implementations for things such as nightly document backups for the 'standard user' if this was implimented.
