OK, I'm in Canada and looking for Money Essential (which I'm used to) but can't find it anywhere, not Future shop or any where else. Any help where to buy it ??

I will NEVER use this service again. If you ever upgrade your computer hard drive,(in Vista) you need the install disk. From what I can gather from browsing and research on the net, there is no way around this if you are upgrading the boot disk in your system. Correct me if I am wrong, please.

Your post on May 3rd said "And yes - after some software updates, Money 2007 works great in Windows Vista." Can you tell me what those updates are? I'm still running into the problem where Money can not access the internet under Vista.

This is unrelated to this post but can MS tell me if they plan to release the Vista Resource kit tools for download? In the past, the resource kit documentation needed to be purchased as a book, however the resource kit tools were free for Windows and Office. Does MS plan to release Vista RKT on the Download Center?

I will try and find the Microsoft Money blog is there is one.

I know my bank charges me a monthly fee for using Money to access my bank accounts and has done so since Money 2002.

And yes - after some software updates, Money 2007 works great in Windows Vista.

I am a Microsoft Money user for years and recently purchase Microsoft Money 2007 specifically to run on my new Vista Premium machine.

The first message that I got when I tried to install Money on Vista was that there are known compatibility issues with Money 2007 and they recommend that I don't install it........

After some patching, however, it does seem to work fairly fine. BUT now I got a notice from my Bank that they will start CHARGING me MONTHLY fee for having Microsoft Money access to the bank.

This is fairly large mainstream US bank -- what is going on? Is there MS-Money Blog I can comment to? Any ideas?

Hey danwarne, did you actually take the time to count words on a web page? Maybe you should have spent that time working on your own OS that millions of people use.

BERT, while I see your point regarding lack of non-US support for certain technologies, I'd like to clarify that Digital Locker Assistant isn't only available in just Windows Vista Ultimate. It is also available in other SKU's such as Home Premium as well.

Oh wait, it's not available in the UK. Brilliant.

I really like Vista, but please there seems to be so many difficulties in actually using half of the software\services available for it...

Do you have Ulitmate edition? No? Oh well. Sucks to be you.

Are you anywhere but the US? No? Oh well. Sucks to be you.

How about one OS (maybe split like XP was into a home and pro version, that was sensible) that works with all software & services released for it and in all countries (not states) of the world (not just the US)?

Maybe a name change of this blog to the US Vista Ultimate blog would be better?

It took you 535 words to describe how to BUY something.

And there were parts like: "If you're using Windows Vista, the Digital Locker Assistant should start after you make the purchase and move on to downloading the software. However, if it does not, you can launch Digital Locker Assistant by clicking Start, choosing Control Panel, and clicking Programs. Then, under Get Programs Online, click Manage programs you buy online (digital locker)."

It's posts like these that demonstrate unsuccinctly why Microsoft is such a basket case when it comes to usability.
