Zune HD Revealed & Zune Coming to the Xbox!

My pal Brian Seitz over on the Zune Insider revealed a brand new (and very awesome looking) Zune yesterday – the Zune HD.

Zune HD

This awesome looking new device comes with an OLED screen with multi touch, an HD Radio receiver, HD video out capabilities, AND a web browser! Find out more about the Zune HD here. The Zune HD will be hitting the market later this year. I’m definitely getting one of these!

Oh and Zune will also be coming to the Xbox 360, taking over the existing video marketplace. Expect to hear more about this at E3 taking place in Los Angeles next week.

You can read the full press release for these 2 announcements here on PressPass.

Brian says there is more news to come. I suggest keeping your eyes on the Zune Insider.

Will the Zune HD run any Google applications seems like the future of Google apps on the iphone and ipod touch is in doubt due to the anti-competitive behaviour of Apple.

Not that I mind to much I use Skype anyway not Google voice, just made me wonder what crafty guys and gals work at Google, seems like theyre always pushing the buttons of other companies...like saying they will make an OS to replace Windows...please it wont happen, Windows is to dominant... having said that they could force Apple to allow its OS to be installed on certain x86 machines, which would be good for Google, good or bad for Apple depending on how it hits hardware sales, and bad for Microsoft and involve no real expendature on Googles part.  They are crafty thats for sure, should be an interesting year or two ahead.

Does the Zune HD play multiple video formats e.g. WTV, DVRMS, WMV, Mpeg1, and 2 formats?

After doing some conversion from wtv to dvrms to mpeg its really a pain, too slow, if the Zune can support the windows media center formats wtv and dvrms that would be great.

Then I guess the question is will it play other formats like mp4, flv files?

If you have such a great machine it would be a shame if at least all the Microsoft Formats were not supported, ditto the older (and so every device should really support them) mpeg 1 and mpeg 2 formats.
