   Forgive me if I'm mistaken but hasn't this been part of Media Center the whole time?

   Unless this is different from the Sports thing that's already there with the Marqui and the sroces for all games currently being played.

   Another thing..  Why doesn't this site use Windows Live ID's..   You would figure that this would be a bit of a no-brainer.  Being that this is the Windows Blog and all..

   Anirask, no this hasn't been part of Windows Media Center the whole time. There has always been a Sports "section" in Windows Media Center but we've added a new tile *under* the Sports seciton in Windows Media Center that brings in lots of great sports content. This is new.

   Since I hate all sports, is there a way to *not* get this?

   Better, is there a way to remove "Sports" from the listing in Windows Media Center?

   Sadly since I'm in Canada this isn't something I'll be able to enjoy anyways.

   Much hate for the CRTC and cross-boundary publishing agreements.  

   Keep up the great work on Windows Media Center. My family uses it daily on the PC and through the Xbox 360.

   Funny you should blog about this topic today...of all days.  I have spent the past 2 hourst trying to figure out where the heck my "Media Center Spotlight Apps" went. (MSNBC, Sports, NPR, Showcase, etc).  I am running the new Windows 7 Beta with Media Center and, up until now, I've been pleased with the new functionality of Media Center and the ability for me to get ATSC and QAM HD television.  

   Can you, or somone send me a note explaining how I can "reset" my Media Center?  Perhaps I accidentally deleted a system file or something, but I miss my media center MSNBC!

   Pretty cool, great news cant wait until it expands to the rest of the world and then gains more content as it does so.  More and more TV is definitely moving to the web, like it or not people want their entertainment be it a sitcom or the latest sporting event on whatever device they have, and they want to watch it on their schedule.  This is a step in the right direction.  Microsoft was really ahead of the curve with Media Center, so its good to see the selection expand.

    Media center sports-watching  wishlist:

    Be able to watch TV through it without agreeing to anything (version 3.0 or whatever). I know what I'm watching, I don't need a guide,

    I also dont need Media center to control my set top box, thank you (so don't ask me where the IR blaster is, just go ahead and show whatever signal you see).

    Be nice to other apps who may also wish to use the TV Tuner, the one that worked so well in vista.

      Thats not all and I cannot edit this, so apologies in advance.

    Bottom line: Let TV apps that worked in Vista also work in Windows 7, or at least try not to micromanage everything I see.
