Change Your Logon Background in Windows Vista

I caught this via Steve Clayton (who caught it via Jeff Sandquist showing off his home) - Stardock has a really neat application called LogonStudio that allows you to change the background of your logon screen in Windows Vista. I absolutely love the space background.

LogonStudio is available as a free download and also allows you to create your own backgrounds as well as download logon backgrounds via Stardock's WinCustomize Gallery too. Folks who create their own backgrounds can submit them to the WinCustomize Gallery. Give it a try. Let me know what you think.

I think that would be good as an Ultimate Extra, and perhaps even combine it with dearmscene to have a moving logon background!

How about just giving the MSDN members SP1 for vista first.

Hey Brandon, great post.  I'm going to download this program right away... only... where the heck can I get that space background you have displayed as your new Vista logon screen??  I can't find it anywhere.

Can you give us a link maybe??

    Thanks!

I wrote an article giving a brief walkthrough on how to use, and to create, logons for Vista using LogonStudio.  :)

LogonStudioVista is a cool application from Stardock. I also like the ObjectDock and with Vista it looks really great!

I would like to share my logonstudiovista theme -

I also created a application called Tune UAC to configure Vista's UAC settings. I have hosted at codeplex and you can get more information here - http://chakkaradeep.wordpress.com/2007/12/01/tune-uac/

    I love this application, Brandon.

Now, remember back in the Hive days, you pointed us to those nice Vista desktops? And I mentioned that we would like to see something equally stunning for Server 2008?

Let's just say the Server Division Blog is exciting in a different way.

Oh, Perrybucksdad, I'm as eager as anyone for SP1 (PowerShell implications), but I do see XP SP3 RC on Technet and MSDN.
