Yes it seems from what I ahve read, unless your in the USA, Cananda or UK, the rest of us have to wait or for us Aussies, even though we have spent hours beta testing Win 7 for personal and work use ( I am a technet subscription holder) we either have to pourchase a new PC or a new version of Vista, either of which I do not require.

Why can't this pre order thing be avalaible to some other countries? I read an earlier comment, that Win 7 is like a SP for Vista, I tend to agree with that, was Vista was and is not the best Windows version I've seen in 15 years. Hopefully MS will re think things. Thanks for your time.

As is the case with many others, I am quite upset that despite the fact that I have already spent many dollars in buying Windows Vista Ultimate, there is no discount provided to me in upgrading to Windows 7 Ultimate! You should at least have given us the same (or equivalent) deal that you provide to Windows Vista Pro users for the pre-order.

Most of my machines still use XP.

Back when MS offered the 2 for one Vista Ultimate upgrade I bought it. I still have not used but one upgrade, on my TV computer.

Win 7 Ultimate is not worth 2 times the Win 7 Pro "discount" price.

The big problem with everyone gushing in their jeans over Win 7, MS has no incentive to cut us Ultimate guys any slack at all.

It looks as if my XP machines will stay XP.
