Sneak Peek at the RTM Announcement!

I thought I’d share an inside peek from our annual sales kick-off event in Atlanta. Steven Sinofsky joined Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer on stage to announce the RTM of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. There’s even a clip of Steve Ballmer signing the gold RTM DVDs. Check it out!

    Awesome!! Hope any remaining issues (especially with Windows Explorer) will be fixed by Service Pack 1.

    hello

    I just ended up with a problem that i need to report to all of that have Asus XOnar DX PCIEx card maybe someone from microsoft will see.I installed the drivers from Asus site for my DX for Windows 7.Yes now there is a special section for windows 7 x64 and a driver and after installation NO exectable was working.First i didn't know exactly from where it is because everything seem fine.Also i couldn't browse internet at all because no browser worked so i decide to run safe mode and in it worked ok.Then i rebooted normally and crapped.I runned Selective startup and after reboot my executables worked.After some elimination i came to the conclusion that one of this two things generate this problem:

    1: "HsMGR" startup entry

    physical location: c:\Windows\syswow64\HsMgr.exe Envoke

    2: "HsMGR" startup entry

    physical location: c:\Windows\system\HsMgr64.exe envoke

    Both are related to Cmedia drivers from the Asus audio card.

    To recreate the issue:

    1.Install W7 7600 x64

    2.Install PCI_DX_090512_8_17_71 version driver for Asus xonar DX for w7

    3. restart

    After restart any executable will not work

    Also the drivers are in beta but i will be surprised if this bug will not be fixed in final version..

    I don't where to post problems like this because the Windows support durring years was not direct with end users but i hope somone will look over it.I will post on asus site because it's their problem.

    It is really great that Windows 7 is RTM now, but for many of us that we did not have the change to see the announcement. I would like to ask if there is any link, site, or distribution of this conference.

    Many of us will like to watch the full MGX conference of the announcement of Windows 7.

    folks, MGX is a Microsoft internal conference - i doubt any additional footage from this announcement or others at the conference will be made public.  typically at Microsoft internal conferences - there is a strict policy around any video and/or still photography during these sessions.

    I have been testing the Windows 7 RC for quite a while now and my question is when does MS$ plan to release a Windows Server 2000/2003/2008 Admin pack that will work across all of the platforms.

    We also use Exchange Server 2003 and the Admin Console does not work for this either.

    When does MS$ plan to release a new Admin console for exchange as well?
