Reminder: General Availability for Windows 7 Beta Ending This Week

I wanted to quickly remind everyone that this week general availability for the Windows 7 Beta will be ending:

February 10^th: Starting at 12am Pacific Time, no new downloads will be available. If you have already begun downloading the Windows 7 Beta, you have until Feb. 12^th to complete the download.

February 12^th: Starting at 9am Pacific Time all downloads will no longer be available for the Windows 7 Beta. If you have not finished your download, you will be unable to do so.

After February 12^th, folks will still be able to register for product keys for the Windows 7 Beta.

The above schedule does *not* apply to TechNet and MSDN Subscribers.

Special thanks to everyone who is beta testing Windows 7!

I just got too ask one question.... um is Windows 7 receiving updates like a normal version of Windows does... Because I don't really like running OS's if it doesn't get updated... because I read somewhere that you weren't going to be any.. ZDnet i think it was said that.. They seems to really like you pick on MS a lot too. It's almost like they have nothing better to do.. which is kind of sad.. lol..

Anyway that's all I wanted too know is that if I run in on a different partition will if still receive updates or is it just going to stay the same as it is now?

I tried to resume my download but I get an error. It says the server returned an error. Would you like to retry? I hit yes and the it keeps giving me this error. please help.

I expect the error is caused by server lag, unless you changed something since you started it.

by the way... is it 12 noon, or 12 midnight? Just curious, since no-one seems to agree which is am and which is pm, so it gets confusing

Scutterman, 12am = midnight :-)

If you did not register and begin your download before 12am yesterday 2/10 you are no longer able to do so now. Those who have started their downloads before 12am 2/10 have until tomorrow at about 9am to finish your download.

Robbie82sc, you will still be able to get updates via Windows Update with the Windows 7 Beta.

trident still has serious problems with javascript guys..

for example.. http://sudokuweb.tk

open this web site with any browser (firefox, safari, opera, chrome)

now open it with ie and see what happens.. :s

instead of a new decoration of the browser.. i hope it tol get beter acid3 results.. trident needs some serious work here..

please understand, that ie is the most used web browser should inspire responsability, not just marketing..

MS is testing and developing drivers for windows 7. Driver updates will be available from windows 7 update ?
